The architect worked closely with us to create a dramatic architecture that elicits the same awe and drama as the Columbia River Gorge the house overlooks. The thoughtful use of stone, metal, wood, and glass combine to make stunning modern spaces that super comfortable and enhance the natural beauty that surrounds Mosier Creek Vista.
The house sits directly above Mosier Creek. See the photo's of this beautiful waterway that carves its way through a dramatic basalt canyon right in front of the house. The land opposite the house is a public park and there is a wonderful hiking trail that runs on the other side of the creek up to a bluff.

We live in Portland and built this house for enjoying the Gorge as second home. Mosier Creek Vista is our vision of a dream house. Like all precious things, the joy and value comes from sharing it with others. We hope you enjoy the house, the delightful town of Mosier and its great walking, biking, wind sports, and access to Mt. Hood as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
The modern architecture our now neighbors have developed in Mosier Heights really blew us away on our first visit. That weekend we rode our bikes on the Mosier Tunnel Trail into Hood River, Hiked up the trail to Mosier Bluff and watched the residents wing boarding and kiteboarding at Mosier's beach. We were sold and decided this was the place for our dream house.
What makes this property unique
Construction of Mosier Creek Vista was completed in October of 2023. Our builder and architect set out to make the most stunning and dramatic modern home possible that fully realized the views available from the site. Guiding the design is the use of stone for durability, floor to ceiling glass to maximize the views from every space, wood that situates the place in its wooded site, and steel to tie the materials together.
