Beautiful cabin, terrible beds

The cabin is a beautiful home. And the host was very friendly and responsive. We also had some adorable neighborhood deer visit frequently.Although it was picked up, there were very some dusty surfaces and the couch and rugs were a bit grimy. The coffee maker didn’t work, but the host quickly brought a replacement. I was a bit disappointed that the hot tub was out in the middle of several other properties. It was private to us, but at least 4 houses had perfect view of us all from less than 100 yards away. Not really my first choice for a romantic getaway. The biggest disappointments were the beds. The mattresses were so thin you could feel the springs. The first night was so rough that we spent the second night sleeping on the couch, which we had to lay blankets and pillows down on first. Thank goodness for the hot tub, because we woke up so sore and achy. For the nightly price, it honestly didn’t feel worth it after 2 terrible nights’ sleep. The rental charged a large cleaning fee plus, we still had a morning check out chore list. Wash dishes, empty the fridge, walk the trash down to the dumpster, gather all the dirty towels and linens and take them downstairs… We’ll probably stay at the Inn for our next visit considering the prices were similar. Not the romantic stay we were hoping for.I think if the mattresses were replaced, it may have been a different review. As is, would not recommend to anyone I like.
