Delightful!

Lydia was so communicative and friendly. Check in was a breeze. Lovely lodgings, cozy & comfy. Location is convenient, quiet neighborhood. Comfy bed, nice coffee & snacks put out. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

Comfortable and peaceful stay

Located just a bit from the town center, this is a wonderful flat above the main home. Beautiful gardens for view out the window. The most comfortable bed ever! Fabulous hosts. A sitting area includes a nice cafe style table and full size leather couch which is quite comfortable. Super clean and beautifully decorated. Italian coffee and snacks were a special touch. We really enjoyed our stay!

Casa Costagliola

Loved the property for the: 1. Location- easy to get to and find. Central to our activities. We attended the AT&T. 2. Hostess was welcoming. Left us to our activities and privacy. 3. Clean and comfortable. Host provided snacks, chocolate, tea & coffee, bottled water 4. Small refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave and assorted utensils. 5. For our needs the property was perfect. If the weather was better we would have used the fire pit. * Not for those with small children or mobility issues. Steep stair entry. Inside multiple floor level changes.

Lovely spot in Carmel

We stayed 4 nights in this lovely cottage. Lydia was very welcoming and she was very kind to leave little extra's that makes your stay so enjoyable. Everything is clean and the bed is so comfortable. This cottage has everything you need for a wonderful stay. If we are ever back this way we would definitely stay here again.

Great place

This upstairs unit has a bedroom, closet, bathroom and living area with every other thing you could need (linens, small fridge, microwave, plates and cutlery, etc.). Lydia, the owner, is great at communicating and marvelously accommodating and helpful. You will enjoy staying at Carmel Woods!

Perfectection!

What a find! The owners are so friendly and have attention to detail like no others. They lived in the flat while remodeling their home so every amenity was top notch. The bed is hard to get out of in the morning, the snacks and Italian coffee were deluxe and the views of the Carmel sky and the beautiful grounds below are spectacular. A visit to their restaurant is a MUST! Just a few blocks away. In fact, everything I put in maps was less than 15 minutes, mostly less than 10 minutes from anything you would want to do. I will stay here again! Many thanks to the owners for a tremendously enjoyable week!

Carmel stay

Everything was perfect except for the fact that you have to climb steps for apartment access. We are elderly so it was difficult for us, but for younger and fit people it probably is not an issue. Lovely stay!! All positive.

Fantastic place for a weekend in Carmel!!

The property is wonderful. Lydia is very friendly and welcoming but not obtrusive. The amenities were great. Had plenty of towels, coffee, blankets and dishes. The basket of goodies was an awesome addition as well. I read other reviews about the parking and was a little worried, but on arrival I was pleasantly surprised. It is reserved on-street parking. If you have a wide car it may be tough for you passenger to get out but the parking spot is right beside the driveway...very easy to let your passenger out and then pull forward to park. I especially loved that they had multicolored lights along side the parking spot. It made it so easy to find when coming home after dark (there really aren’t many street lights around Carmel)! I would highly recommend a stay at Carmel Woods! I wouldn’t hesitate to book again for a future stay! Thanks again for making our stay so enjoyable:)

Great Accommodations

This place is a gem and the proprietor, Lydia, is a sweetheart. The location is very central to the Monterey Peninsula. The accommodations were wonderful. Lydia's attention to detail was better than a 5 star hotel. There was everything you could ever need to make you stay comfortable. Her knowledge and advice of local restaurants was very good and we enjoy the places we visited. Thank you Lydia for making our time in Carmel so enjoyable with your hospitality.

Cozy, Clean, and a Very Nice place to stay

This property is very clean and cozy. Lydia has taken the extra effort to provide the little things that make a difference. Extra towels, snacks, water, tea, coffee, candy, pens, pencils, scissors, note pads, maps, local magazines etc.. During our stay we kept finding little things that made our stay more pleasant. You need to be mindful of the well lighted small steps as shown in the pictures when moving about inside. There are also some steep outside steps you will need to navigate with your luggage leading up to the entrance way. In my opinion the only real negative to this property is the parking. You are required to park on a busy street with a slight curve just before the parking space. You must let your passengers out first before you park as close as possible to the inside ledge to make sure you are inside the white line and not on the roadway. The property is very close to downtown Carmel with lots of places to eat and shop. It is also close to a shopping center and Monterey. Lydia greeted us upon our arrival and showed us the property and made suggestions on places to eat. If we vacation in Carmel again we will choose this property.

Carmel retreat

This was a well-situated and comfortable cozy rental. Lydia was very accessible, we texted frequently to make sure we were on the same page. She provides bottled water and loads of snacks as a routine, and a bowl of organic plums from the yard was a bonus. There’s coffee and tea for the making, and a microwave and toaster oven for heating food (eating ware and fridge provided). The only downside was that there is the sound of traffic during the day and early evening which may bother those sensitive to environmental sounds - I treated it as white noise myself, which surprised me as I AM normally one those folks.

Great Apartment!

Pictures don’t do this place justice there is so much space in the apartment! Lydia is a wonderful host and the house is stocked with everything you need. And most importantly the bed was comfortable! Will book again.

Cozy accommodations in great location.

This property has all the comforts of home. It is conveniently located to Carmel. Also, a short drive to Pacific Grove, Monterey and all of the peninsula. Comfortable living room area for reading, as well as separate bedroom.

Cozy apartment in great location

The apartment is so cozy and great amenities. So close to downtown Carmel you can walk there or just a short drive to Monterey. It was a great location for our Big Sur, Pacific coast drive. Views of the ocean from the apartment too. Would definitely stay again.
