About this property

Cozy Washington Log Cabin: Riverside Retreat

Reconnect with the beauty of nature with a few nights at a charming log cabin nestled on the bank of the Toutle River. The idyllic setting invites you to immerse yourself in nature while enjoying modern comforts. Watch eagles, otters, deer and soak in the forest magic from the privacy of your outdoor deck or unwind in the hot tub with scenic views. Take leisurely walks through the surrounding woods or enjoy a movie night with our projector screen setup.

Located on the riverbank, the cabin provides direct access to the river and many spots to relax around the property. Nearby, explore the majestic Mt. St. Helens and numerous scenic hiking trails as well as the charm of Castle Rock.

For your safety and compliance with insurance guidelines, a waiver will be provided for your signature prior to your stay.

The cabin features a cozy loft and multiple sleeping arrangements to accommodate your group comfortably. It boasts a fully-equipped kitchen with a microwave, toaster oven, and refrigerator. The bathroom is equipped with a hot shower, enhancing your relaxing escape. Evenings can be spent watching videos on the projector screen, providing a home theater experience.

The cabin actually has four (very comfortable) queen-sized beds and a sleeper sofa, but at 500+ square feet, you'd need to really like your cabin-mates with that many people. We generally recommend up to 4 people, but will occasionally make exceptions for larger groups.

Guests have full access to the property, including the beach and river access.

The hot tub is well-maintained and will be heated ready for your arrival.

Beautiful setting

The cabin is cozy, warm and the beds are comfortable. Four people plus a small dog was plenty, I wouldn’t recommend more than that. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

The cabin was cozy and the property is beautifully positioned on the river. The continuous noise from large trucks during the early morning to the late afternoon was a bit unpleasant.

Serene and peace

From the pictures online to being out there it was beautiful! There are neighbors but the views are blocked and they dont bother you at all. Might get a visit from a friendly puppy that just stopped by to say hey! Didnt catch any fish that was disappointing but, enjoyed the grill, hot tubandfire pit, and surrounding areas. Host was absolutely wonderful, communication, helping qith a few processes, suggestions and just overall amazing! Overall this is a tiny slice of heaven for getting out!

Great Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is perfect for two people. It is close to the road, but with the trees and fences there is still complete privacy. It was close enough for us to go early to Mt. St. Helen's to hike. The kitchen, bathroom, and porch could use a few updates, but over all it was so clean that didn't really matter. We spent most of our time outside on the porch anyways because the furniture out there is updated and nice and we saw hummingbirds, bats, and stars!

Relaxing getaway

A cute and clean cabin with a great deck area! The view of the river is wonderful. There is a hummingbird feeder provided great birding entertainment from the outdoor furnature. Even saw a bald eagle! The hot tub was greatnand we enjoyed using the fire table in the evening. Great for a couple or smaller family, since all the bedroom areas are in the open. Well stocked kitchen with all the spices. Very cute and the manager Paul is great to communicate witb. We had a great stay!

I love to meet new people. Every person has something that is fascinating about them.

In addition to being a host, I run a small software / web development company in Portland. I love books and am constantly reading.

I climb and kayak and walk a lot. I travel frequently and lived in Ireland for a few years. I love making vegetarian food and sometimes make really strange-looking smoothies that end up being delicious.
