Casa De Las Estrellas (House of the Stars) - Beachfront Villa

Casa de las Estrellas is one of the few, two-story Mediterranean style villas located on the northern end of the beautiful, pristine San Pancho Beach. Casa De Las Estrellas boasts Spanish style wrought iron gates which first open into a sprawling tropical garden, then, hand carved wooden doors lead into a spacious villa. Once inside, one is immediately mesmerized by the breathtaking scene of the beach and ocean.

All bedrooms, and dining/living/kitchen have ocean/beach views. Two master bedrooms are located upstairs; both with king size beds, en-suite bathrooms and private beach/ocean view balconies. The 3rd, twin bedroom and bathroom is located on the ground level along with the kitchen/dining/living great room. This open great room was designed with a soaring interior palapa (palm ceiling) with hanging 'star' mood lighting, hence the name, Casa De Las Estrellas (House of the Stars).

Casa De Las Estrellas also includes a den with ocean/beach view, pull-out full size bed and full bathroom, charcoal barbecue, large outdoor beach/ocean terrace, free WiFi, iPod docking, and best of all, a swimming pool fronting the Pacific Ocean.

Casa de las Estrellas is the perfect beachfront home for a group of friends and/or families. Beautiful Relaxing Getaway

My Wife and I, along with our 3 kids ages 4, 6, 15 all had a great time at Casa La Estrellas. The house was a delight morning, day, and Night. The pool was perfect for the kids and The sunsets were so beautiful and unforgettable. My elderly parents 70+ joined us on this week long venture and they loved the tranquility and beauty of the location.

Family paradise

Casa de Las Estrellas is a lovely home that embraces the Mexican culture. It is on a very quiet stretch of beach, yet still within walking distance on the beach to town. It was large enough to accommodate ourselves and our family. The grandkids loved the pool.. We would definitely come again!

Fabulous home

My husband and I, along with another couple, just returned from a week at this beautiful home. Location was amazing. Located at the end of a spectacular beach but just a half mile walk to town down the beach, this was a wonderful place to stay. The house was very comfortable and perfect for two couples with the double master bedrooms upstairs. We enjoyed morning coffee and evening cocktails on the patio each day. The sound of the waves lulled us to sleep each night. Sunsets were incredible and watching the surfers was fun. Franco, the house manager, had to assist us twice when we didn’t have water in he house for showers, but he promptly arrived and fixed the issue. He was easy to communicate with and very kind. We loved our stay and would come back again. Lovely home!

Tranquility on the beach

Great relaxing place right on the beach. Nice beach walk to the town. Pool lovely and warm, nice gardens front and back. . Bedrooms big and comfortable.. they even provided toiletries . Views from the terrace are fantastic. look forward to returning very soom

Relaxing family vacation

We had a great time at Casa de las estrellas. We enjoyed being in front of the ocean and loved the layout of the house. Having Irma to come during the week to help us with the cleaning of the house was great. We appreciate the assistance we received during days we were there!

Casa de las Estrellas

This was our fifth stay at this lovely home on an incredible stretch of beach. There were two couples in our party and this house works well, providing plenty of privacy. The patio was the gathering place for meals under the palapa as well as sunsets. This is a peaceful location with the beauty of mother nature at its finest. As another reviewer said, you can walk to town and going via the beach is beautiful. Do not miss the San Pancho Mercado (Farmers Market) on Tuesday mornings. It has really come into its own.

House of stars gets our five stars!

My family and I had a wonderful week stay at Casa de las estrellas. The location couldn't be more perfect on the beautiful north end of San Pancho beach, it felt very private with great sunsets every evening. The pool was perfect for a cool dip and playtime for the kids. The house has an open plan spacious feel and suited our family of 7. Every room has an ocean view. The property manager Franco was always available if needed, and was very obliging. Irma the housekeeper was also lovely. It's a nice walk on the beach to town and there is also a great restaurant walking distance. We would choose this location again when we return to San Pancho which is a magical place.

Beach house in San Pancho

Casa de las Estrellas is a two story home on a beautiful stretch of beach. This is our second stay at this house and it is very comfortable. As a previous reviewer stated, the beds are firm, on cement platforms, which we found comfortable. The outdoor patio on the beach was our regular gathering place for meal time as well as sunset. The kitchen has most all amenities, coffee maker, blender, juicer, etc. One morning we saw a gentleman gathering turtle eggs from the beach. You can walk to town one of several ways from this house, the shortest being via the beach. This is a peaceful place. Falling asleep to the ocean waves cannot be beat. Casa de las Estrellas is open and airy. We will definitely be back.

Neglected property in good location

We rented this house for 17 nights but moved out early. We did not feel we could manage the final 8 days as conditions in the house were taking too great a toll on everyone's vacation and health. Primarlily, the pervasive stench of sewer gas affected all of us. Secondly, the house was dirty, had extensive deferred maintenance, shabby linens and mold in the bathrooms. The kitchen was poorly equipped. Thirdly, the house was represented on the web site as wheelchair accessible but our wheelchair bound man found the house to be extremely challenging. The house is situated in a beautiful location and San Pancho is a charming town. If the owners would attend to these issues, the house could be a real winner.

A week at Casa de las Estrellas

This is a wonderfully laid out house only 5 stairs from the beach. The upstairs bedrooms are large and beautiful with large sliding glass doors and balconies that have unobstructed views of the Pacific. The beds are large and firm (mattress on concrete) but are quite comfortable. All four bathrooms have walk-in showers. The kitchen has adequate utensils, fridge, micro, gas stove and oven. A 5 gal water dispenser provides purified water. Water is cheap at the local store (El Indio). The living area has a large table and chairs as well as a sofa and easy chairs. A large glass door leads to a wonderful raised patio area with a small swimming pool and palapa style seating area. It is a great place for afternoon cocktails and evening sunsets. A separate den has two easy chairs and a hide-a-bed sofa. This room also has a small TV with DVD and tape players. (I would recommend sleeping on the air bed as opposed to the hide-a-bed :) ) The house is in a very secluded area since it is at the north end of the beach. You feel like you are in a world of your own. I would recommend having a rental car for transportation into town since it is a walk of about a mile. The walk is pretty easy on the road or on the wet part of the the beach, but carrying groceries back to the house is a real task. Taxis are available and are pretty cheap but not as convenient as your own car. The garage houses a washer and dryer. That allowed us to pack much lighter this year. Maid service cleaned the house and made and/or changed the beds daily except weekends. Since you are on the beach you must deal with tracking in sand tho. There are great places to eat and drink within easy walking distance. Mar Plata is an upscale restaurant with great food and Costa Azul is a few hundred yards down the beach and offers a great swimming pool, drinks and very good food. (Club sandwich is out of this world!) San Pancho is a wonderful town with beautiful, friendly people. It feels comfortable and safe. When we return in a couple of years, Casa de las Estrellas will be our first choice for housing. I believe that anyone would love to stay in this house.

Christmas in San Pancho

We stayed at Casa de las Estrellas over Christmas 2011 and had a fantastic time. The casa is spacious and clean. The local staff was attentive and responded to our needs immediately (of which there were few). The outdoor patio was awesome - table, chairs, lounge chairs, bbq grill, etc. The pool was a little cold in December, but I'm sure is perfect as the weather gets hotter. Every day the polo ponies would come racing down the beach for their afternoon exercise, which was really cool to see. It's about a 20 minute walk into the Pueblo of San Pancho and unless you can figure out how to call a taxi (which we could not) they are not plentiful. There are no grocery shops in Costa Azul so plan accordingly. It was nice to sort of be away from the Pueblo though, as it was much quieter and we really felt like we were away from it all. Overall we had a really nice time and are looking forward to going back!
