A birthday celebration

This home is lovely. Beautifully renovated, with all the amenities. It's on a well traveled road but it was quiet. Close to many fun towns including Boothbay with the amazing Botanical Gardens.

Lovely, sparkling home that’s great for a family

We stayed with our three adult children and son-in-law for three nights and couldn’t be happier with our choice. Linda answered questions quickly, offered tips, and made sure we were comfortable. We had plenty of room. It’s also conveniently located near the center of Bath, with it’s quaint shops and parks, and not too far from Popham Beach.

Everything you want and need

Exceptional VRBO home. Crisp and clean. Updated with all amenities and well appointed in the kitchen and bathrooms. Hosts were responsive and generous. Even though on a busier road, the noise at night was not overbearing; and it’s the trade off to being within walking distance of a riverside park, farmers market, bookstore, shops and some great pastry and coffee shops. Will definitely rebook if in that area again.

Amazing stay

My wife and I rented Linda & Carl's house for our wedding weekend. It was the perfect spot to make our home base for the weekend. It's a beautiful historic home that has been renovated nicely and has all the amenities you could ever need. Nice large shower downstairs and large bathroom upstairs. Beds were comfortable, beautiful kitchen. Plenty of space for everyone. Great location close to downtown and the Maine Maritime Museum. Host was outstanding! Great communication, and they went above and beyond to make our weekend special. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking in the Bath area. Looking forward to staying again one day for an anniversary trip!

About the host

A few years ago, we owned a small home in Bath which we rented through VRBO. “The Doll House”. Our guests would tell us how much they appreciated the care and details we provided in our home. Since my husband and I are retired and spend summer and fall at our lake property, we decided to offer our home in Bath as a seasonal retreat for travelers wanting to explore mid-coast Maine.
Renting a historic home in the quintessential town of Bath will allow you to enjoy the flavor of the area in the comfort of “home”.

Why they chose this property

We chose Bath, Maine as our permanent retirement residence because of the wonderful community and small town living. The historic, small town and friendliness of its residents drew us in. Bath is close to so many popular destinations like Popham Beach, Freeport (the home of LLBean) , and many quaint, coastal towns. We are only 40 minutes north of the airport and downtown Portland making getting here a breeze.

What makes this property unique

Our Circa 1850 historic home is walkable to downtown Bath. It is centrally located to many desirable mid-coast Maine locations. We have remodeled the bathrooms, kitchen, and porches to make comfortable, modern spaces while maintaining the vintage charm. There are many original features in this home which we love. We hope that all who reside here love and care for it as they would their own.
