Fantastic stay - exactly as advertised
Had a great time - apartment exactly as described, if not better. The location is superb. As mentioned in the description and reviews, there is a low ceiling and no air conditioning, which might be a consideration for you depending on how tall you are (I am 6'3" and managed OK, but did have to duck in certain areas), or the time of year you are booking.

Clean and comfortable
The apartment is clean and cute. Well situated and quiet. Metro is across the bridge near the Lourve. Very close to St. Germain area. Nice gourmet shop around the corner. Somewhat hot during the summer. But cooled down nicely at night. David is responsible and a good host.

Tasteful, well appointed, centrally located apartment in a beautiful setting.
We have only praise for this apartment and it’s charming, helpful owners, David and Sandrine. We stayed there for 5 days and b/c of the central location, we were able to walk to most of the main attractions. We bought passes for the hop on hop off bus which we were able to board right across the bridge and used it for historical info and transportation. We agree w/ all the other positive reviews and were duly impressed by the care that had been taken in the creation and care of this lovely space, which had a very attractive view into a courtyard planted with beautiful flowers and studded w/ marble statues. We would recommend highly this accommodation for all the above reasons and hopefully will be returning soon!

Perfect location for a quick trip to Paris
This apartment is located on the Seine, across the street from the Louvre. It is tiny but was a perfect fit for three of us. The owners were very accommodating and met our time frame perfectly. It had everything that one needed, in a minimalist way. It was spotlessly clean and up only one flight of stairs. I would have appreciated an extra set of towels but there was a washer that worked well so that solved that. Just behind the apartment about two blocks was every kind of eatery you could desire, a grocery, and a pharmacy. If you don't mind tiny then this is a perfect fit for a quick trip to Paris. The bato bus was right in front, the D'Orsay just down the street and just walk across the street to the Louvre. Great find!

Cute apartment near museums
We enjoyed this small apartment - it was very clean and tidy and well-maintained. The owners were welcoming and responsive to my communication with them. Pros are: the apartment is well-kept and pleasant. The owners are helpful and responsive. We really appreciated the clothes washing and drying machine in the apartment! Other than proximity to the metro, we found this to be a central and relaxing location - if you want to spend a lot of time at the Louvre, or d'Orsay, or wandering along the Seine, this is a perfect location! Cons are: the kitchen was tiny, but adequate, and the ceilings and doorways were lower than one might expect - I'm 5'8" and I had to duck to get into the toilet without hitting my head. Also, the closest Metro stop is either across the river at Carousel/Louvre, or at the d'Orsay museum - which was a bit father than I would have liked. It is a 45-minute walk (at least) to the Eiffel Tower from the apartment. We ended up taking a taxi fairly often (especially since we had a child and an older adult with us). If you want to do lots of shopping, this isn't a tourist shopping area - almost all the shops are expensive antique shops - which I very much enjoyed window-shopping in. I did not need/want to be near lots of commercial shops or restaurants, so this was great for us. Overall, we were very happy with this apartment!

Lovely apartment, great location
This was our second visit to David's lovely apartment on the left bank of the Seine directly across from the Louvre. The location can't be beat, the apartment is well appointed and on an inside courtyard so its quiet, and the owners are very helpful. We will return again!

Location is ideal.
Very quiet but central location, walkable to most major sites. My husband says that it is perfect for a family of 4 and the washer drier combo allows you to pack less. A family emergency meant that he ended up there alone on business but next time we will make it with the whole family! Thank you David.

great, cozy apartment! fantastic location!
A perfectly sized 1 bedroom apartment for my wife & I and our eight year old daughter. Great location and just about a 15-20 minute walk anywhere. You can't beat the location in Saint Germaine along the Seine, just down the street from Musee d'Orsay and across from The Louvre! Lots of restaurants in the neighborhood and a convenient grocery store just about a 5 minute walk away. Our bed was very comfy and our daughter slept well on the pull out sofa in the living room. The apartment was very well appointed- we didn't cook in the kitchen, but did use the microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator. We even did a couple loads of laundry! Despite being located on a busy street, the apartment is accessed via a private and very charming and quiet interior courtyard - we slept soundly every night of our stay and rarely heard an occasional police car or ambulance drive by. The apartment was spotless and very well maintained. David greeted us at the apartment upon our arrival to Paris and gave us a very thorough tour of the apartment. He even offered to have the apartment professionally cleaned mid-way through our stay. One thing worth mentioning - since the apartment is located in an old, historic building, the ceiling heights are very low, as well as the doors- I'm 6'-3" and had to regularly stoop to avoid hitting my head going in and out of the bathroom, bedroom, and closet. The showerhead is also very low, but that's part of the charm and didn't detract from our stay at all! We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to our friends traveling to Paris.

Great apartment - perfect location!
We (3 people) recently spent 5 nights in this charming apartment, located in a very central location - directly across the river from the Louvre, a couple of blocks from the Musee d'Orsay, near St. Germain, a few blocks from Monoprix grocery store, and has bus and RER stops nearby. The pictures accurately represent the apartment, which has many useful amenities, i.e., stove, oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, refrigerator, fan, clothes drying rack, electric towel rack, tv, free wifi). Although it is small, we were quite comfortable in it and found it to be very clean and quiet. Although it was quite warm during our visit, we opened the windows and used a rotating fan to keep both rooms cooler and we were just fine. I think other reviews have noted the low ceiling, but that is just due to the building's construction. My son, who is 5'11", did have to duck his head to be under the shower head, but it was not a big deal. David and his wife were very gracious and answered all of our questions, prior to and during our trip. They were very fast to respond to any questions we had about the apartment, during our stay. We appreciated all of their Paris recommendations and tips! We would try to stay in this apartment during future Paris visits and would not hesitate to recommend staying at this apartment to any of our friends. Thanks to David and his wife for helping to make our Paris trip so wonderful!

Excellent apartment in an ideal location for a Paris vacation
This well-appointed and well-maintained one bedroom apartment on the left bank of the Seine is an excellent value. It is clean, comfortable and quiet (on the inside courtyard of a Quai Voltaire building), conveniently located directly across from the Louvre and two blocks from the Musee D'Orsay. Although small, the kitchen area has everything you'd need to eat in, there is a comfortable couch, table and TV in the sitting room, and the bedroom is large with a very comfortable large bed that has a firm mattress. The bathroom is clean and well-appointed, though the ceilings are low so if you're tall you'll have to duck to get into the separate toilet area. The apartment has baseboard heating that kept us toasty as the November days got cooler. The apartment has several windows but no cross ventilation, so it might get very warm in the summer as it doesn't appear to be air conditioned. There is a Metro stop across the bridge at the Louvre, and the shops, restaurants and bakeries of St Germain are only a few blocks away within easy walking distance. David our host was very accommodating and answered all of our questions with many helpful suggestions. My wife and I highly recommend this apartment and will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Paris.

Charming cozy retreat in the best location
Even before we arrived here we had heard from David and had received great information on the arrondissement as well as tips for touring, shopping and eating out. We felt so welcome from the start. We had 3 amazing weeks here. This apartment is in a wonderful central location. Walking distance to many attractions and close to bus and subway although we didn't use them as we walked everywhere. David's wife met us and explained how all the appliances worked. There is also a detailed written package provided. Everything is here, you just need to walk in, unpack in the lovely walk in closet and enjoy Paris. If you wish to eat in, there is a well thought out tiny kitchen. If you want to eat out, there are all kinds of restaurants in the area at every price point. The apartment is spotlessly clean and a service comes in each week to change the bed and towels and clean, which I thought was a nice touch. We two were quite comfortable. Sadly we must leave here today, but hope to be back to Paris and this apartment again in the near future.

Charming apartment close to everything.
Enjoyed my stay in this apartment with a friend of mine. It was very clean, small, but efficient. David and his wife were very caring and she met us when we arrived and showed us around to make sure we knew where everything was located. I don't know that four adults could stay here comfortably as there is one small bathroom and separate toilet. Also the ceiling in the living/2nd sleeping room is low so anyone that is tall might not fit. The couch in the living room opens to a bed and is not that easy to unmake and put back into place each day, so we just left it as is and sat on it. If there were two couples staying in the apt. it would be quite awkward in the evening as there is no other place to sit. But for two people it is fine. The best part about this apt. is the location and the charming courtyard located right down stairs.

It was parfait! The Perfect location - enchanting courtyard - absolutely lovely!
I wish that everyone could have the opportunity to stay in such a wonderful place in Paris at least once in their lifetime. It was magical; the quiet and beautiful Parisian courtyard inside the door; a magnificent view of the Louvre and the sounds of a busy Paris street awaited- just outside. My husband and I were truly charmed beyond words and the owner was fantastic! My only regret- I left my heart in Paris and I would like to have it back

Fabulous apartment - cannot wait to go back!
My husband and I, and our 30 year old daughter, were delighted with our 10- day stay in David's apartment in early May, 2016! We really cannot say enough good things about our experience. It began with David, and his sweet 6-year-old son greeting us at the apartment and explaining the few items that were not self-evident. (The combination washer-dryer was new to us and we appreciated David's clear instructions.) We cannot say enough good things about the apartment! First, it is just as nice as the photos indicate. No photo-shopping here - the apartment is exactly as advertised. The bedroom is large with a very spacious closet, the bathroom is modern and the living room and dining table were very comfortable. Our daughter slept on the couch in the living room and remarked about how comfortable it was. The kitchen is tiny by American standards but is a wonderful study in efficiency. We enjoyed breakfasts and occasional lunches at the apartment but took advantage of the fabulous dinner options Paris has to offer. The location of the apartment is PERFECT- half way between the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame right on the Seine - it seriously does not get any better than this. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. On a previous trip we stayed in the 8th arrondiissement and now realize how important location is to enjoying this wonderful city. Also, the apartment overlooks the interior courtyard and was very quiet. (An artist was selling a painting of the entry into the courtyard which we bought and are now enjoying. It is a wonderful reminder of our fabulous vacation.!) David was a very gracious and thoughtful host. He gave us his contact information and encouraged us to contact him if we had any questions during our stay. He provided helpful recommendations about local restaurants, supermarkets, etc. We decided to extend our stay and he was very accommodating of our request. Finally, he arranged for a driver to take us to the airport on the morning of our departure which was greatly appreciated. We were sad to leave, but are looking forward to staying in this delightful apartment during our next visit!

The Best of Paris: Excellent location, beautiful apartment, wonderful hosts
My wife and I found the perfect place to stay in Paris with this very quiet, clean, well-appointed, and centrally located apartment. Our hosts, David and Sandrine, provided a nice, cozy, and restful retreat, a perfect place to explore all that Paris has to offer. Just across the street from the Louvre, and within easy walking distance to some of the best sites that Paris has to offer, this apartment was all that was described and more. The Musee d'Orsay is a few blocks down the street one way, while the great restaurants and cafes of St. Germain are just a few blocks in either direction. We could have stayed there forever if I didn't have to go back to work! We highly recommend this place for a single or couple, though the couch can be pulled out to accommodate another individual. One of the best things about the place is that the owners made us feel welcome every step of the way. David was great about putting together a compendium of information on how to access their wifi, use the various appliances, and identify some of the best cafes in the area to eat. His wife Sandrine ensured that we knew where everything was and made some great recommendations of places to visit and eat. She even met us near the Louvre when we weren't sure where to go when we got out of the Metro. David was always available by email if I needed anything (since my phone was out, I couldn't call him). The place was very clean. They have a nice little refrigerator for keeping some things cold like wine and cheese, but most of the time, we were out and about, eating at cafes both near and far. They have all the modern conveniences, including a microwave, dishwasher, and TV (the last two we never used). Some of the nearby restaurants that we enjoyed include the oldest known cafe in Paris, Le Procope, an interesting and well-known place for steak and frites, Relais de l'Entrecôte Saint-Germain, and a good place to have a nice dinner that is right across the street from Relais, Le Petite Zinc. We were able to walk to places like Le Jardin du Luxembourg and Rue Cler. We recommend getting an all-inclusive Paris Pass, Museum Pass, and Transportation Pass. Get aboard The Big Bus and tour the city on the first day, then walk around and take the metro, train, or bus to see and do as much as possible. You won't be disappointed. And this place is the perfect launching pad for doing it all. Merci David and Sandrine for providing us with a wonderful place in Paris!

Lovely Apt, great location, beautiful gated interior courtyard
We spent two weeks there and enjoyed all of it. Decor is very tasteful; it is equipped with every essential convenience. The small kitchen is appropriate for light meal preparation, and the Fregate and Empire Resaurants nearby are good dinner spots. There is bus service to everywhere in Paris across the street, and the Tuileries and Lourve are very convenient. Strolling along the Seine is one of the delights. The beautiful large interior courtyard provides quiet and a feeling of security. If and when we return to Paris, this would be our top choice.

Quiet apartment with great location
This apartment was perfect for my daughter and myself for 5 days in Paris. Centrally located on the left bank just across from the Louvre and down the street from the Musee d'Orsay, we could easily be first in line at many of the popular attractions. The apartment is clean, efficient, and stocked with enough kitchen and bath supplies to make you feel at home and not in a hotel. David's directions and communication with us prior to our arrival was prompt and clear and he met us at the apartment at the agreed time. His tour of the apartment and advice on local shops was very helpful. The internet worked perfectly. We especially enjoyed looking out of the windows at the pleasant, quiet, courtyard. At night with the windows open it was quiet and the fans kept us cool. David has done a great job making his guests comfortable and equipped with all they need including electrical adapters and a printer. Given the location this apartment is a terrific value!!

Quiet and beautiful oasis across from Seine
Lovely, quiet and well appointed apartment across from the Louvre. Easy access from anywhere. After you walk off the busy street, you walk into a beautiful and very quiet courtyard. You cannot hear anything. The apartment is great. Nice size common area and large bedroom with a walk in closet. Lots of room to hang and store clothes. The bathroom is good size with lots of storage. Four people used this bathroom easily. We each had a shelf to store grooming items. You don't have to bring anything. All appliances were provided. Did not get to use kitchen to cook but if you want to cook, all items are there for you to use to cook meals. (We did not cook as there were too many good local restaurants and delis with outstanding food). There are two local food stores. So many tourist sites are within walking range and close to Metro and buses. Super helpful owner of apartment. David sent info on local restaurants, bakeries, ATM's, you name it he provided the info. He arranged our taxi to airport for us. Most accommodating. I cannot say enough about this wonderful place. I hope to come back and stay a month! Thank you David for providing a wonderful addition to our Paris experience.

We were very pleased with this apartment. It is centrally located to all of the landmarks we were interested in seeing. We walked everywhere from the apartment. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, a quiet location, and very comfortable. David and his wife were very responsive to all of our needs. Fantastic location, very cozy, quiet and comfortable.
I'll start with the best feature of this apartment: the location. It is Rive Gauche on the Seine and an easy walk to the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay and to start a nice walk from Jardin Tuileries to Arc de Triomphe. The 7th Arrondissement location is very convenient for shops, galleries, and restaurants. I highly recommend it and, should I return to Paris, would probably stay here again. You won't find a better value and location for the main sites and museums in Paris. Now, it's not perfect. Main issue I would identify will be for taller people. I stand right about 6 feet tall, and could touch my head to the ceiling in the bedroom when standing on my toes. I also banged my head in the doorway once or twice. It's also pretty cozy, and I think it would be a challenge for more than two people to stay, although children might be able to sleep in living room. All that said, I think it comes with the territory, given that it is an older historic building and ceilings just were not tall back in the day. It's a very nice, private setting, that may give you a taste of what it is like to be a Parisian, who lives in the many courtyards nestled behind the doors you see along the streets. The amenities are very good. It has a usable, although very small, kitchen with oven, dishwasher, microwave, and all the basic pots and utensils you might need. There is a small refrigerator, washer dryer, and Wi-Fi. The Water gets hot quickly and it's quiet, being well back from the street. I found it way more comfortable than a hotel room, as I could lounge around early in the morning, have a lazy breakfast and tea, without having to be presentable and go to a hotel dining room. You can cook simple meals to save money on dining, too. David , the owner, was very helpful with detailed instructions on how to operate everything, suggestions for local shopping and dining, and he even offered to call us a cab for our departure.
