Private, quaint cabin with amazing views
We were looking for a modest place to stay that wouldn't break the bank and would offer a peaceful mountain respite, and this cabin was perfect for that. It's got a cozy and slightly rustic feel that puts you at ease the moment you walk in the door. The view of Brasstown Bald from the porch is breath-taking, and the house is surrounded by woods so you can't see any neighbors. The cabin was very clean and there were no "surprises." We were a little hesitant since this was a new rental with no reviews, but Vacasa had everything clean and ready and we were very pleased with our stay. The hot water runs out after one shower and the appliances are outdated, but the price was right so we didn't mind either. The road leading up the mountain is a steep, single-lane paved road with (apparently) two-way traffic, and it might be a little hairy if you encountered oncoming traffic. If you're timid about steep roads or if it was icy, it could be an issue, but we didn't have any problems. Thanks to the owners for opening up their wonderful mountain cabin for rent. We will remember our stay for a long time!
