The Whispering Pine is a beautiful three-story beach house in Blue Mountain Beach, located just a short five-minute stroll from the Gulf of Mexico. Nestled in an established gated neighborhood and positioned on a dead-end street, this tranquil home is surrounded by trees and is the perfect peaceful retreat for vacationers. Located directly across from the Point Washington State Forest, hiking and biking enthusiasts can explore the forest's trails. The backyard is private and open for our guests to enjoy, featuring a swinging hammock that backs up to state-protected wetlands, which connect the Draper Lake tributary with natural springs. The sound of the running springs provides a calming atmosphere for everyone to relax and unwind. The oversized front porch swing is perfect for two people to lounge, while the upper and lower porch decks offer stunning views for sunsets or to listen to the ocean’s roar.

Blue Mountain Beach has a variety of award-winning restaurants featuring local acoustic musicians who offer live music almost every night. Guests can also visit unique local artist galleries in this true artist community. For a fun night out with family, there are plenty of sweet treat options just a few minutes away by golf cart. Perfectly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of 30A, yet only a few minutes from award-winning pristine beaches for lazy lounging beach days.

Forest Lakes neighborhood is an absolute gem of a community, giving vacationers a feel for what living in South Walton is like. Guests can head to the community lap pool to swim or grill dinner on the BBQ under the covered pool house pavilion. A golf cart and bike rental company is conveniently located across the street, providing guests with excellent customer service, as well as free and fast delivery services. Blue Mountain Beach is known for being the end of 30A where locals live and gather, our guests are sure to meet some amazing folks while exploring the area!

At night, guests will stargaze, listen to the sounds of whippoorwills, or take a pleasant stroll around the neighborhood looking for deer, which can often be found feeding at the green space near the lake. During the day, guests can fish in the fully stocked lake for bass, brim, and blue gill, or children can enjoy the community playground while adults take a walk across the bridge. Lastly, relax in the jetted spa at the end of the day for a total reset and refresh!

For eating options, guests can try Shunk Gulley (located across from the Gulf), Perfect Pig (in Gulf Place downtown), or The Vue (on the Gulf). for takeout, call ahead and order Philly cheese steaks from South of Philly, or grab a burger from Papa Surf. Basmati's offers Thai food, while Mimmos Restaurant serves Italian cuisine. Blue Mabel is a great place for smoked brisket, and Cowgirl Kitchen serves black bean falafel tacos. For the Health of It, the local health food store, offers smoothies and detox shots, while Pecan Jack's serves homemade ice cream, truffles, and specialty chocolates. Blue Mountain Creamery is another great option for ice cream and conversation. Or stay in and cook, as this home is equipped with all the necessities and a fully stocked chef's kitchen.

For exploration up and down 30A, this is the perfect location! The home is situated between two beautiful and private state parks. Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is located to the West, while Grayton Beach State Park is to the East. Guests can also check out the many dune lakes for more outdoor adventures.
