Want to rent a kayak and paddle down the river or hire a motor launch and a captain to take you 10 miles down river to the ocean? It's all within walking distance. The home is in pristine condition. 4 bedrooms 2 1/2 baths. Comfortable sofas and beautiful antiques. Stunning water views from every room. Central air conditioning and an elevator if needed. Multiple smart tv's. Gas fireplace. You won't want to get in your car, but if you do, Rockport and Camden are half an hour north. Pemaquid Beach and the ocean are also nearby.

I live in Mid Coast, Maine with my wife after retiring as a professional documentary filmmaker in Boston and moving here year round. I am excited about sharing the beauty and serenity of this area and the two towns of Damariscotta and Newcastle by renting a spectacular 4 bedroom home overlooking the harbor of the Damariscotta River.

Damariscotta and Newcastle sit side by side with the Damariscotta River separating the two. Both towns are within easy walking distance of this lovely home.

What makes this property unique

The home is very private and quiet and yet it's within walking distance of two towns with lots of energy and activity. An easy walk for breakfast, oysters at lunch or a magnificent dinner at one of 8 pubs and restaurants. The home is in pristine condition with views in every room and the sun rises over the steeples and rooftops of the town of Damariscotta. The master bedroom has its own sun room. The master bath is one of a kind a view from the shower as well as from the bathtub. . Central air conditioning is available as is an elevator if needed.
