About this property
Tree-top Penthouse in the bush
Tree-top Penthouse in the bush
Brand new, our flagship home, Akasha Villa, is arguably the most exclusive in Marloth Park. It is as unique as it is private - the house is located on a cul-de-sac, adjacent to one of Marloth's largest parkland areas and right against Lionspruit. Enjoy the sounds of the bush including the nightly roars of lions. The minimalist and contemporary architecture of the home allows guests to feel in nature whilst surrounded by the creature comforts of home.
The space
Up amongst the trees
Designed as an “upside-down” house with the main living areas on the upper floor, the house has a feel of a tree-top penthouse, nestled between the gorgeous indigenous trees with unique views. On this upper level is an open-plan gourmet kitchen, a very cozy living room, and a unique dining space, all with views out of the oversize panoramic windows/openings that put you amid the trees.
Also on the upper level is the main bedroom suite with a king-sized bed facing its private panoramic windows, a freestanding tub fit for a queen, double vanity, a walk-in closet, a shower as well as an amazing outdoor shower under the stars. This level also has a very cozy reading room with panoramic windows, outdoor lounge- and dining seating, a Brazilian Gaucho grill, an oversized splash pool, and a firepit area. This upper level offers views and safety like no other in Marloth Park. Sunset views are spectacular.
Down on the ground
On the ground level, there is a voluminous foyer, a spectacular staircase, a guest bedroom with king sized bed (or two twins) also in front of panoramic windows with an en-suite bathroom and a coffee station, a fitness studio with 2 yoga stations, cardio equipment, weights and more, as well as a private home office for those that want to keep in touch with work. The undercover parking for two vehicles is adjacent to a fabulous entryway.
Creature comforts
This villa is equipped with air-conditioning throughout, a washer and dryer, solar power and inverter batteries for lighting, fans, and electrical outlets, a super-automatic coffee/espresso/cappuccino machine, and more. Bedrooms are fitted with block-out curtains and luxurious linens to enjoy the late morning. The home is fully equipped and serviced 6 days a week. For your safety, the house is also protected by a state-of-the-art security system backed up by local rapid.
Guest access
Access to the entire Villa. You book the entire villa.
Other things to note
Marloth Park is a unique nature conservation area with an abundance of wildlife moving freely between the homes. It is not unusual to have giraffes in our driveway or wildebeest hanging out in the shade of the house. Occasionally there are also predators in the area so please, no walking between dusk and dawn as we need to allow the carnivores the rare opportunity to roam! Road conditions are at times challenging so a vehicle with some ground clearance is suggested.
Let us enhance your visit by arranging private driving or walking safaris into Kruger National Park; have private chefs cook for you in-house or; arrange for food deliveries or restaurant reservations; spoil you with heavenly in-house spa treatments, direct you to the nearby walking trails at the banks of the Crocodile river or arrange a variety of other activities.
