Location, location, location! The West Asheville Gem is in a perfect location to visit Asheville, NC. Located one block from Haywood Road you will be within walking distance of many unique restaurants, bars, and shops and a short ten-minute drive to downtown Asheville, the Biltmore House, the Blue Ridge Parkway and many other touristic sites. The greenways run throughout Asheville and are accessible from Haywood Road. The greenways offer a beautiful walkway or biking path as you tour the Asheville area. Go a little further out and hike, or bike beautiful mountain trails within Buncombe County or our closely residing counties: Haywood, Henderson, Transylvania, Madison, and Yancey. While enjoying the beautiful Asheville area savor delicious food at an array of unique restaurants in the Asheville area. If you enjoy alcoholic beverages you have come to the right place, there are many bars off Haywood Rd and throughout the Asheville area. If you haven't heard, Asheville is also referred to as "Beer City" because of the large number of breweries located within the Asheville area.

Our 2BR/1BA Apartment has been recently renovated and can house up to 4 guests comfortably. Private parking is steps away from the apartment entrance. Beautiful stone walkways lead you into the apartment or around to the outdoor living area. Solar lights turn on at dusk and brighten when they detect movement. Security cameras are utilized for both of our safety. They are positioned so our front door, both parking areas, and the entrance to the apartment (keyless entry door) can be monitored if needed. Please be aware that the interior of the apartment, the apartment deck and fire pit areas do not have any security cameras. The apartment has a kitchenette so you can make coffee, tea and a light breakfast in the morning, or you can walk down Haywood Road and find many delicious restaurants offering breakfast, such as, the Biscuit Head, Sunny Point Restaurant or West End Bakery. The living room has a 55-inch smart television, and a large couch with an ottoman. The ottoman holds multiple games, cards, etc. Essential oils are available for your use with a diffuser during your stay. The bathroom can be entered by the master bedroom or via the hallway. The bathroom is equipped with an overhead heater, a rain shower faucet, and plush large bath towels, wash clothes and hand towels. Both bedrooms have bedside tables with salt lamps, dressers for your clothing, and the master bedroom has a closet. Within the closet you will find an iron and ironing board, a small safe with a lock, hangers, and some extra blankets. The outdoor living area consists of a deck with outdoor furniture, a fire pit area, and a small yard. The back deck has a table with 4 bar height chairs, a sectional couch, a glass top table, and a rug. The firepit area has a metal fire pit, four Adirondack chairs and enough firewood for 1-2 campfires. The yard is fully fenced so that your children and/or dog can enjoy being outside while remaining safe.

Lastly, besides our location and amenities why should you stay at the West Asheville Gem? Because we take pride in the cleanliness of our apartment, our mattresses have been rated as 'very comfortable' by previous guests, we provide basic household soaps, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, a water dispenser and a small welcome gift. Additionally, we reside in the upstairs so if you have any issues we can typically respond very quickly. Hope to see you soon!

Comfortable Apartment
This apartment worked great as a central location to get around Ashville and the surrounding areas. We enjoyed the back deck and separation of the two bedrooms for a bit more privacy. There are single steps to get into the bedrooms and the bathroom, which may be a consideration for some people. The hosts were friendly and the instructions for checking in and out were clear.

We throughly enjoyed our stay! Connie and Laurent have thought of every little detail. The beds were super comfortable. The space was perfectly utilized. We had our own private backyard. It was just very enjoyable. We highly recommend staying at this lovely home away from home. We were no more than 10 minutes away from anything we wanted to do downtown and the arts district. There’s even a ton of places to eat and shop super close by and walkable!! We’ll be back 💗
