About this property

Location: The Bridge is a beautiful, modern, two-story (open plan) space in West Seattle just minutes from great restaurants, shopping, bakeries, fitness center, pubs, and water taxi to downtown Seattle and Pike Place Market.
The Space: The Bridge was designed by architect Sean Bell who has specialized in creating custom, sustainable homes in the Seattle area since 1997. In fact, The Bridge was the office of Mr. and Mrs. Bell before 2010. It is an extremely 'lofty' space, but very warm and comfortable.
Although the interior space is equipped with a kitchenette with no oven or cooktop, the breezeway off the lower level has a gourmet gas grill, seating for six, and a sitting area with outdoor gas fireplace; this space is shared with the owners.

About the host

Your host

Sean Bell is a local architect and Caroline Bell is a French teacher. The home was design by Mr. Bell in 2007 and completed in 2009. Sean and Caroline have traveled around the world extensively and very much enjoy meeting new people.

Why they chose this property

The Bridge site was chosen for a number of reasons. West Seattle is a charming and vibrant community while also being very convenient to downtown Seattle. West Seattle has a number of smaller neighborhoods such as The Junction, Admiral District, Alki and Fauntleroy each with their own unique vibe with restaurants, parks, shopping, and in the case of both Alki and Fauntleroy a white sandy beach (Alki) and an outdoor Olympic size pool (Fauntleroy).

What makes this property unique

The Bridge is architecturally a very unique space. It has a very cozy warm-industrial feel to it with very tall 'lofty' spaces. Its location is also unique being located between a commercial/semi-industrial area and the quite neighborhoods of Cityview and the Admiral District. Things located within roughly one mile include: fitness center, taxi boat to Seattle, Trader Joe (and other), restaurants, cafes, movie theater, bakery, view point, golfing, bike path to downtown Seattle, bike path the Alki Beach and many other interesting things.
