Warm and Cozy Alaska Experience on the River
Wonderfully cared for, beautiful cabin right next to the Moose River. The cabin was very clean and warm. We really enjoyed our time here. The view of the frozen river when waking up from the bedroom window was amazing. The owners were very helpful during check-in to show us everything the property had to offer. Even in March, we utilized the outdoor gazebo and BBQ. The old woodstove in the cabin was enough to heat the place and then some. Nothing like wood heat to make you feel right at home, especially went it's 24 degrees outside. We stayed in three B & B homes on our 11 day trip. This was by far our favorite. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience Alaska with a rustic sort of charm. Just to note, there is heating in the cabin if building a fire in the woodstove isn't your thing.

Moose River Resort Review
My friend and I came to fish the Kenai. The property was a great location. Away from the hustle and bustle yet close to Bing's Landing for launching the boat. Grocery store and gas station were close by. Cabin is well supplied and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and made meal preparation easy. Would recommend highly.

My dad and I stayed for 10 days and I don’t have a single bad thing to say about this cabin! Has everything you need, including a large deep freezer for fish on the deck. The hosts have quick response times and left fresh vegetables from their garden for us. Will be re-booking.

Jaci and Moose River Mike are great hosts. If you are looking for a truly Alaskan experience this is your place. Super friendly and easy to get along with. The cabin is the best. By god this guy has been attacked by a bear and lived nothing short of a great experience. I give them a 11 out of ten. Clean friendly and fun.

Quintessential Alaskan Cabin / Chalet
What a wonderful, authentic Alaskan cabin / chalet! Jaci and ‘Moose River Mike’ are awesome hosts: responsive and friendly if you need anything, but otherwise leaving you to enjoy the place as if it were your own. We caught sockeye salmon on the Kasilof and Kenai rivers and prepared fresh salmon every night! The kitchen, and the cabin, had everything we needed. (And Three Bears Alaska grocery/gas is just 5 minutes away.) The view of the Moose River from the big front windows is picture perfect. I also love that Moose River Mike’s Super Cub float plane was docked on the river, and you can read about some of his amazing adventures! We saw three moose just up the river, along with ducks and other wildlife. It’s amazingly quiet and peaceful, and if we get the chance to come back, would definitely stay here again. - Darren, Grace and Claire - Texas

Awesome Cabin
The cabin was amazing! So much charm and the authentic rustic look with all the modern amenities for a truly comfortable and relaxing stay. We had a great time watching the river thaw and and all the wildlife swim and fly by the cabin. The windows that faced the river was the best "TV" we watched in a long time. A wonderful getaway!

Alaskan Getaway
We had a fabulous stay. Mike and Jaci cover all of the things you'd need in a home, from a well appointed kitchen to the little details like robes and basic toiletries. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We chose to prepare nearly all of our own meals from the cabin. The river was beautiful to watch, the birds are always putting on a show and three moose walked through the front yard one morning as we were having coffee! We fished two days on the Kenai River and caught some monster Rainbow trout. We also drove to Seward for a Glacier Cruise and took a drive to Homer another day. Alaska doesn't disappoint with the snow capped mountains all around you. Our weather was great, 50's during the day, 20's/30's at night. We were prepared with the right clothing so it was a non issue. Layers layers layers! Hope to return again, will want to stay here, for sure! Thanks Mike and Jaci :) Dee Dee and Steve, from Northern California

'Moose River Mike and Jaci'. Hobbies include flying the Piper PA18 Super-cub all over Alaska, smoking fish, skeet shooting, skiing and wood working.

MAP DIRECTIONS:
Sterling Highway Milepost 81.5, turn North on to Otter Trail Road, drive 1.3 miles, turn left or west onto Bull Run Rd, follow Blue and White Business Signs to 39315 Bull Run Road (prior road name was Moose Run Road, but changed due to 911 rules).

Why they chose this property

Mike and Jaci fell in love with the Moose River area, then decided to put down roots. Mike hand built the chalet from the ground up and wanted to extend true Alaskan hospitality by turning it into a Vacation Rental, since we moved into the new house next door. The beauty of the Moose River with all the great birding and wildlife is spectacular year round.

What makes this property unique

Front row view of the river approximately 50 feet from living room windows, yet secluded and private. Gazebo with round table. Additional covered sun deck out back with a chest freezer and lounging area. Just outside from the kitchen is a large stainless steel fish cleaning table and handmade cutting board. Outside BBQ stocked with fresh cut wood and charcoal.
