This 3500 sq ft home has 6 bedrooms and 3.5 Bathrooms, formal dining room and fully equipped eat-in kitchen. Living room has grand fireplace (gas). Baby grand piano in living room. Home office and wifi for those who need to work. It's a great house for beach vacationing, family reunions, or work retreats. Enjoy sunrises and moonrises over the water. Great breezes and views from the enclosed wrap-around screened in porch, or from the many windows overlooking the beautiful water. Third floor has futon bed for extra sleeping space if needed and playroom ideal for kids. Cozy TV den next to kitchen, lovely backyard garden, outdoor shower for use after the beach. Entire house is newly renovated, with option to use central air. Washer and Dryer in laundry room, 2 Dishwashers, all linens provided, weber grill. Ping Pong Table. Beach, Long Island Sound and fishing off the pier directly in front of the house! Circular driveway for at least 4 cars. 10 minutes from Milford Metro North Train Station; 20 minutes from New Haven Metro North or Amtrak Station (with car rental available); 15 minutes from Long Wharf Theater and New Haven. 5 minutes from Yale West Campus.

Great Stay with an accommodating host

The weather was unfortunately uncooperative however the house is wonderful to still allow for personal space. The host was super attentive to any needs or concerns we had. We will be returning next year.

Great host, great views

The house is so well suited to a small group. The kitchen is fully stocked. The location is magnificent - right across the street from the beach. We really appreciated the EV charger. The front porch is the perfect place to relax and watch the world go by. Our host was so friendly and accommodating and easy to work with. Responded very quickly to all messages. Highly recommend.

Excellent location near family wedding.

Great spot for family, grandparents to grandchildren. Wonderful house dating to 1910. A New England classic on the lovely Connecticut shore.

Perfect Getaway

We had an absolutely fantastic long weekend at this spacious and beautiful house near the beach! It was a perfect getaway for our extended family, with ample room for everyone to spread out comfortably. We enjoyed leisurely walks by the beach, cozy evenings gathered around the fireplace, and breathtaking views that truly enhanced our stay. The house was impeccably clean and well-maintained, exactly as advertised. We couldn't have asked for a better retreat. Delightful!

What a fabulous house! I just happen to adore the arts and crafts style so I was already thrilled, but the house was so much more! The art work and collectibles and books - everything was so unique and interesting! My 7 year old granddaughter was fascinated by much of the art on the walls. I felt like I was in "Downton Abbey". We loved it! We enjoyed the beach across the street and Silver Sands State park. Our favorite pastime was sitting on the front porch watching the people, fancy cars and dogs go by and looking at the water and ospreys. I saw my first monk parrot in a big nest down the street. It was a wonderful vacation. Thank you Deborah, you made everything so easy!

Lovely house

We loved staying at this house. The elevator was important to me & was perfect for my arthritic knees. The house had so much character & the views were outstanding. A lot of time was spent on the front porch looking at the amazing view of the sound. Definitely will stay here again.

A perfect spot on the Sound

Our family was super comfortable in a charming and beautiful property on the beach. It has gorgeous plantings in the yard and plenty of spacious bedrooms, public areas and a well-appointed kitchen. All thumbs up!

Wonderful large house right on the beach

Fantastic large rambling house perfect for having a family reunion. The location is fantastic as it is right across the street from the beach. Our host Debbie was very responsive and gracious. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place for a large family

I'm one of 11 children. We all live out of town except my brother whose 70th birthday we were celebrating. The house held all of us who were able to make it, spouses and 3 grandchildren. Spacious, clean, plenty of room for us to have conversation and relax. The large windows are really wonderful. You can't beat the views. Books galore! We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great house and beach a few steps away ! We loved all the neat rooms and it’s overall character. Fabulous!

What a gem! Lovely cosy, relaxing feel in a stunning house. It made our once in a lifetime family holiday all the more special. The three year olds loved the space and being able to get to the beach in one minute. Location was great with I 95 close by for easy access to all the attractions the area has to offer. We all loved it.

One of a Kind - Great Stone Home

The house and location are a 10. Beautiful home with easy access to beach, stores, and restaurants. Our family loved the space, piano, ping pong table, great porch beach view, and walks along the shore with big beautiful New England shore homes. Family would like to return next year.

Beautiful, spacious and inviting house perfect for family and friends gathering.

Our family has owned this house for a very long time, and we have had joyous years of using the house for summer fun, Christmas time parties, lounging on the porch, watching fireworks on the fourth of July, fishing off the pier, and great nights of cooking for large groups of friends and family. Some of us live in NYC, others in Washington, and others in Connecticut. This is our favorite vacation place.

This is a magical house, with warm rich wood and stone details, on the beach, with lots of lovely rooms for rest and privacy, and spacious communal spaces for parties, family reunions, or work retreats.

What makes this property unique

Great location on the beach, perfect for large gatherings, but the house has so much space, and so many remote niches that it is also easy to find a quiet place to curl up and read a book. Private space and party space all wrapped into one incredibly beautiful house!
