Welcome to The Birdhouse! An elegant and restful retreat perfect for individuals, one or two couples or small families. Built in 2020 and furbished with numerous amenities, this tranquil, romantic and private property is your ultimate getaway at Deep Creek Lake!! Beautifully perched high above the cove, with breathtaking views, you will see all the local birds, butterflies and hummingbirds all season long in the warmer months. Located at Bee Tree Hollow cove on sought after Lake Shore Drive - the home is situated on one of the most quiet and private coves on the lake. Bee Tree Hollow cove boasts 20 foot water depths and a wake free zone. Just a short stroll down the custom designed private path to the fire pit, water and dock. We provide two kayaks, two paddle boards, a canoe and life jackets. Days at The Birdhouse include quiet afternoons in front of the outdoor fireplace, grilling on The Big Green Egg and dining on the deck al fresco with incredible sunset views! Please NOTE: The Birdhouse does not have an indoor dining area, but a casual breakfast bar...perfect for "grazing" and simple meals. The main level of the home has two bedrooms with very comfortable King size beds and two private baths. The primary bathroom has a luxury copper soaking tub and separate shower. The primary bedroom also features a gas burning fireplace. The chef's kitchen is extremely well stocked and designed for those who love to cook. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and a wine bar/beverage area. On the lower level there is a third bedroom and bath, laundry, pool table/game table, sofa and television....a great place for games and hanging out! Dreamy, private outdoor shower - most people like to shower there more than anywhere else after a long day out on the water! :) We are minutes from every restaurant in Deep Creek and a short 12 minute drive to Swallow Falls State Park. Wisp Resort is 10 minutes from the property, as well as all groceries, shops, boat rentals and amenities. Enjoy two summer farmers markets on Friday and Saturday! Look no further for the ultimate getaway. It is a very special property... a truly unique and magical location on the lake! IMPORTANT NOTES - Dock will be placed in the water April 15 through October 15th. Deck will not be furnished/set up until the snow/winter has passed. We normally have the deck set up by March 15th. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended if you are traveling to Deep Creek Lake during winter months. NO parties, no bachelor or bachelorette parties, absolutely no smoking and no pets. We ask that you respectfully refrain from disrupting the peace. We have wonderful year round neighbors on both sides of the property and they, too, will be very respectful of the neighborly peace and quiet that is already established. We will provide you with in depth information prior to your arrival so you can easily enjoy your stay immediately.
