This is a beautifull house built by a Panamanen family. Very vast and cosy, many areas to chill! The garden is very beautifull!! We highly recommend the property, especially with Miriam who is fantastic : )
Surprise to have Miriam as our housekeeper…she is a sweet lady. She also cooked breakfast. House needs a thorough cleaning. We had to ask her to change sheets and clean bathrooms when we got there. Location is easy to find and spacious for two families of four people. Kids enjoyed their own room with the bunk bed. Javier was easy to chat with and always got back to us when I had questions. Very accommodating. We enjoyed our time in Boquete

Liked: Communication, location
Disliked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Great porch, lousy bed linens
House very old, as is all the furniture. This is not a problem not the beds! Mattresses very old, blanket so old is was like cardboard. Pillows very old and uncomfortable. Porch is huge and great view of mountains, but furniture on porch not comfortable.
Housekeeper/cook is wonderful!
We loved her very much.
If bedding were upgraded I would stay here again for the view and the cook.

About the host
Hosted by Javier Romero
I am the founder of Aventuras Panama, the adventure outdoor country pioneer, in business since 1994.
I grew up in Casa Romero when my grandpa, Aristides Romero, use to live there. It is not only beautiful but it gathers family memories of 4 generations now.
My parents purchased it from the Romero Family when it was put out for sale. For me, it is exciting to keep a property with so much history within the family, and simultaneously use such an incredible property to expand Aventuras Panama adventure trips within the area.
I am also involved with a Destination Management Company, Experience Panama, and remaining real estate business of the Romero Group in Chiriqui.
I graduated from Purdue University, Indiana as a Mechanical Engineer and from INCAE as an MBA
Why they chose this property
Besides the family connection, Boquete is the most beautiful mountain town in Panama.
Due to its nice weather and fertile soil, Chiriqui higland is traditonally devoted to grow vegetables, coffee, and dairy farming among other agro industries. But recently, due to its topography and well preserved cloud forest, it has also evolved as an adventure destination.
Boquete has something for everyone. For 3 years it was choosen by International Living has the best place to retire worldwide.
What makes this property unique
The property is very close to town but out of town congestion. The Caldera River will play its music providing you with a very relaxing enviroment.
You will be able to see, still in their plant, coffee beans and oranges.
The house, built in 1950, has the form of an arch with a terrace all along it facing the backyard, toward the Caldera River.
The master bedroom and petit room have interconnecting doors. Each room also has its own independent door to the terrace.
The Hatillo room, has three twin beds in its upper level and a 3 stores bunker bed on the lower section.
The whole house is only available for rent when independent rooms are not already rented.
