About this property

Relaxing Rainbow Springs Home

Welcome to Rainbow Springs Manor. We are located in Rainbow Springs Estates, in Dunnellon Florida. The area is known for its two beautiful rivers, the Rainbow and Withlacoochee Rivers.

This beautiful, smoke-free home, sits on a quiet cul-de-sac. The interior is a split plan. The master bedroom and bath are on the east side of the home and guest rooms and bath on the west side. Guest rooms are at opposite ends and the guest bath sits between them. One guest room includes a desk with HP USB-C docking station and 3 monitors, in case you need to work. All bedrooms have ceiling fans. All furnishings are new.

The living room, dining room, and well-equipped kitchen are the hub of the home. Comfortable leather furniture, counter height dining tables, and a kitchen counter with saddle stools, make this open plan an ideal area for spending time together. The ten-foot ceilings enhance the space. Sliding doors open up to an expansive lanai that is screened and also covered, no blazing sun or bugs. A gas grill, patio furniture, and loungers are ready for your needs. The backyard view is private with trees and plants. The neighbors are at a distance and privacy is prime. Venture beyond the green belt and you will find a walking/bicycle path that traverses the community.

The home is on a wooded property and Florida is endemic to critters; insects, lizards, grasshoppers, palmetto bugs, spiders and snakes. Please keep doors and windows closed. We are diligent with our pest control. There will be no refunds if you have an encounter. On a happier note, if you want to see deer and fox, wake early to find them foraging for breakfast!

The gem of the neighborhood is Rainbow Springs State Park and it's only a five minute drive! It is a first magnitude spring boasting sapphire-blue waters, with exceptional clarity. The park provides watercraft rentals, picnic tables, concessions, gift shop, bathrooms and showers. There is also a hiking trail that takes you past waterfalls and a river view. The entrance fee is only $2.00! The best money you'll ever spend.

For those competing at the World Equestrian Center Ocala, this premier complex is only a 20-minute drive! WEC is the largest equestrian complex in the U.S. and promises the ultimate experience. Exhibits are open to the public, along with restaurants and retail shopping.

Silver Springs State Park in Ocala is one of America's best loved springs. Explore the area on one of their famous glass bottom boats! The captains are friendly, funny, and knowledgeable about the park's history.

Winn Dixie, Publix, Aldi, and Walmart are 5 minutes away! Cheers, Purple Sage, and Front Porch restaurants are local favorites. Riviera Maya has excellent Mexican food and Crystal River Smokehouse and Grill has excellent BBQ!

Photographers will love the natural beauty and wildlife on the Rainbow and Withlacoochee Rivers. More points of interest include K.P. Hole, Blue Run Dunnellon, Mayhem Ranch, Halpata Tastanaki Preserve, Three Sisters Springs, Devil's Den Spring, Ft. Cooper State Park, and Cedar Lakes Woods and Gardens.

Visit Grumbles House Antiques and Garden Shop (built in 1908) for a chance to find a memorable gift of your trip to Dunnellon. Also, the Greater Dunnellon Historical Society maintains the historic train depot on Williams St. and is dedicated to ensuring its place in history.

For golfers, Juliette Falls and Twisted Oaks are close by.

Say goodbye to city life...Rainbow Springs here you come!

Fabulous!! 5 Stars

Best equipped VRBO we've stayed in. Felt like home. Host was very readily available, shared insights on the area, and kept us posted on local events. Will return!

About the host

My family has lived in the Tampa Bay area for many years. Growing up we loved our beaches but we also found time to frequent Florida springs; Rainbow Springs and River have always been my favorites. When my husband and I were looking for property, Dunnellon was the obvious choice. We plan to retire here one day, but in the meantime we will visit as often as we can and share this beautiful place with guests whom we hope will love it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We loved this neighborhood from the moment we drove through. The properties offered more privacy than others and the abundance of trees, greenery, and flowers made it feel like a beautiful park!

What makes this property unique

Our property is unique because our greenbelt boarders the walking/bicycle path that traverses the community.
