Enjoyed our quiet, off season stay on the houseboat. The deck was a great spot to watch the ferry boats. A pretty view day or night. Compared to a sailboat, the shower and bathroom were roomier than expected. A short walk to the NE Aquarium, Haymarket, Quincy market and the North end for great food.
The houseboat was a wonderful new experience for the family. It was clean and well appointed. Location was great and easy to get around. Wish we could have stayed longer.
great, as listed property. Location was key for us, and if you want waterfront/n.end, this is for you. The breeze off the harbor was nice (as it was in 90s). Fun and different type of stay!
This was a fun place to stay. Drinks on the roof overlooking the city at night cant be beat. This was very centrally located. Parking fees were pretty pricy. Be prepared to drag your bags to the wharf and the houseboat.
We enjoyed our stay on the house boat and would recommend it to others. I do wish more explicit options would be available for fragrance/chemical-free cleaning products though…
The houseboat was even better furnished than advertised. Perfectly clean as well. The A/C works well. The marine toilet works absolutely fine.
Location is a perfect stepping off point for exploring the Greenway, the North End, Downtown, and beyond. But, being on the water gives air, space, and views you wouldn't normally get here. Parking at Lewis Wharf is very easy, if a bit expensive. Our family had a wonderful time.
We stayed on a houseboat in Lewis Wharf a few years ago and loved it, so we wanted to donit again. We are actually’local’ and my teen and adult kids like to stay in the city for short breaks. (We live an hour away). Love the proximity to the North End, the T, the Aquarium etc. Surprisingly quiet. We miss the boat we used to have, so we enjoy getting gently rocked to sleep. Will always choose a houseboat over a hotel if it’s available.
The toilet storage tank emits smelly gas into the houseboat, especially in the large bedroom, via an opening in the bottom of the closet.
The property should really fix this.
Otherwise, the location near the North End and Boston Harbor is excellent. Relaxing on the boat's roof, watching the ships go by, is very nice.
Location is terrific, walkable to T stops and so many restaurants and sights. Took us a few minutes to locate it even with the detailed directions but we got there. Adorable, clean, appropriate amenities. Toilet is a boat toilet but happy to have a toilet:) My teenager wanted to watch the Euros and the tv did not get cable, just mentioning in case that helps someone. Lots of cute restaurants nearby as well as coffee places and mike’s pastries. Getting lulled to sleep by the waves was addictive. We spent most of our time on the rooftop deck which was furnished, charming, gorgeous views. Had a lobster roll picnic atop the deck on our last night - magical. The boat was the highlight of a fantastic few days in beautiful Boston.
Overall we were extremely satisfied with the accommodations. The boat is a good size for 4 people and way nicer than a small hotel room. It was a real treat seeing my granddaughter’s surprise when she saw we were living on a boat. One thing to keep in mind - it’s a boat! That means there will be some rocking back and forth, space is limited and the marine toilet takes getting used to but the rest it easy. Coffee is provided and there’s a toaster, over and large fridge. The location is excellent and you can walk to the aquarium, Quincy market and many other attractions. Plus seeing the tide go in and out and raising and lowering the dock 10-15 feet was fascinating.
If you’re nervous about a boat, we were there in driving rain and 65 mph winds with coastal flooding and it was manageable. No-one got nervous or panicked - when it returned to normal it was awesome.
I would definitely recommend this if you’re into something a little different. I’ll definitely book with them again. Thanks

Boat rental
I liked the boat but there were many things I would have in the description that were not there and had I known would not have booked. Getting to the boat with luggage is very incontinent. You have to park very far away then lug everything up and down a very steep walkway, I have a bad knee and it was very difficult getting things to the boat. Secondly I was not a fan of the mattress in the bedrooms, they were not comfortable and covered with plastic so every time you turned over it was a crunching noise. The window coverings need to be black out shades as even at night with all the lights in the area it was hard to sleep. The couch was hard and not comfortable at all. I did like the the free coffee and the Brita filtered water. They also did have shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. They do need to put some shelves in the bathroom as there is no place to add all the items most women travel with. I would also advise to add a small dresser in both bedroom closet so that you can actually unpack your clothes. Did love the furniture on the top of the boat was nice to have a place for morning coffee and evening cocktails. They had all the items you need in the kitchen.
