About this property

Serene cottage on 3 acres w pond. 10mins to Perdido Key beaches- no hidden fees.

Recently refurbished home on beautiful 3 acres with a pond - a quiet retreat while only an easy 10 minute drive to the white sandy beaches at Perdido Key. The best of country living close to all the fun - 12 minutes to National Naval Aviation Museum, 1 mile to shopping (Walmart, Target, Sonic, Starbucks, Hersey's Ice Cream and Aldi's) and views of the Blue Angels practice runs from the comfort of your backyard.

The spacious master bedroom is graciously appointed with a new memory foam queen bed, 50" tv, quiet sitting area for two, luxurious soaking tub in the en suite and peaceful views of the property.

The large corner bedroom features a chic vibe with full bed and memory foam mattresses as well as two portable twins to allow customizing sleeping arrangements for all your guests. The third cozy bedroom has a comfortable twin with memory foam mattress, armchair for reading plus two additional portable twin beds and a few toys for the littles.

In the living room, the new Ikea pull out coach with foam mattress makes extending the sleeping options easy. The corner desk area with beautiful views makes remote work much more inviting. The comfortable coaches and arm chair allow for plenty of seating for your group to curl up with the large tv and electric fireplace after a full day.

Formal dining room with large table connects to a cook's kitchen with gas cooktop and a full kitchen of appliances, cookware and dishes for your evenings at home. Ikea highchair in kitchen makes it easy to keep the littlest one close and simplifies your packing requirements.

Outside the home, you can wander the serene yard with lemon, grapefruit trees and muscadine grapes. Walk around the large pond searching for frogs and lizards, or feed the friendly Muscovy ducks, turtles and fish off the little dock. Alternatively, enjoy watching kids set out to explore the vast yard or play tetherball and lawn games, while you relax on the partially covered deck, some distance away, sipping a cool beverage. A gas grill is available for use.

Between March and October watch the Blue Angels fly right over the house while they practice the aerial acrobatics. No searching for the right site and fighting traffic. You can find their schedule on line. Don't worry, if that's not your thing, the practice sessions are short enough that you will be back to relaxing in the quiet ambiance in no time.

Between mid August and mid September, be sure to keep the outdoor lights off at night and wander outside to see if you can catch a glimpse of the green fireflies dancing and flashing in harmony.

If you work remotely while staying with us, you may appreciate the high speed internet and private work space in master bedroom or use the large comfortable desk in the living room with a spectacular view.

As for amenities, you will find a supply of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, trash bags, toiletries, dishwashing liquid, laundry soap, and coffee and coffee filters. If you are heading to the beach, feel free to borrow the beach towels and beach toys from the hall closet.

A Home Away from Home
We spent a wonderful month at the serene cottage. We had plenty of space for our 8 kids to eat, sleep, and play! We even had a small gathering of extended family to celebrate a graduation. We were certainly blessed to enjoy this comfortable and peaceful getaway. The Blue Angels inspired all of my children to aim high with their dreams. We had everything we needed to be comfortable and make memories for a lifetime. Thank you for sharing your home with our family!

A Relaxing Stay
We loved staying here for the week! It met all our needs and felt cozy. The rooms were a good size, the kitchen was easy to work in and the living room airy. It was so nice to have the grill as well as beach gear. The view out the back was really pleasant and we loved walking around the property. It was handy how close it was to shopping and the beach.

Very happy
We had a great VRBO experience at this house. We really hated to leave to be honest. The location was great as we were visiting family at Corry station and NAS. It was an easy 12 minute drive. We chose to go to Perdido beach since it was close. Also an easy drive. Pensacola is about 20-30 minutes depending upon where you want to go. There isn’t enough good things to say. All linens were included, full kitchen for cooking. They even provided spices, which most don’t seem to offer more than salt and pepper. The fridge and appliances were clean. Laundry machines worked well. The showers and toilets functioned and drained. Plenty of room inside and out to lounge. The property is indeed serene. We ate breakfast on the patio and the view of the ducks and pond made for the best get away. There is even basic covered parking. We went for proximity of the naval bases, not the beach, and I would stay here again. For those interested in cons… to me there were not any. The house is perhaps a little dated to some, because of the brown trim etc, but crown molding and vaulted ceilings doesn’t make a stay any better. The check in process was seamless. They answered questions in a timely manner and seemed like positive hosts. If you’d prefer country feel, and a nice, quiet place to stay, this is the place.

Welcome to our someday retirement home! After a lifetime in the Pacific Northwest, we were ready for a bit more sunshine. So, we packed the kids into the camper for a covid-a-cation and fell in love with Pensacola. The Emerald Coast has a relaxed vibe, beautifully beaches and plenty to do. Someday, when the kids are grown and flown we look forward to long days relaxing on the back porch, hiking the gentle paths, and kayaking the quiet rivers. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and near all the amenities without having to fight the heavy traffic of Pensacola Beach proper. The beaches in Perdido Key have the same beautiful white sand in a ten minute drive with easy parking and access to many restaurants. Or drive up towards Florabama for the farmer's market, travel the Intracoastal Waterway, explore great fishing, and excellent Alabama dinning. Each time we visit we discover more great things to see, do and eat!

What makes this property unique

We traveled for many years both with our children and without. We wanted to create a fun experience with all the comfort and necessities to enable our guests to focus on making memories rather than being distracted by a poorly appointed home. (We have been there!) Vacations are a big investment and we want yours to be wonderful!
