Welcome to Casa Sombrero! This newly built suite situated a moment’s walk from the pool. It’s airy, decorated with style and is located in the heart of the city; one of the most beloved neighborhoods.
Cuzamil is a walkable neighborhood with bars, restaurants, shops, parks, gyms, laundromats and large chain grocery stores. Taxis can be secured right at the guesthouse which will take you to to Centro and many of the tourist attractions nearby.
The space
You enter your guest suite to find a beautifully appointed space where no detail has been left unattended. Your brand new kitchen featuring a full sized fridge, stovetop, air fryer and microwave - and fully stocked with necessary cooking equipment, Mexican handcrafted dishware, flatware and glasses including basic condiments (salt, pepper, sugar, instant coffee, cooking oil, tea etc.)
The living room area boasts rustic local crafted furniture with a large coffee table and an oversized super comfortable couch that doubles as an extra bed. The couch looks onto a brand new 40” Roku smart TV (free subscription to Netflix) which is on a convenient swivel for you to also view from the bedroom area. You will have unlimited access to your own internet connection, both wifi and ethernet.
The desk, made of locally sourced exotic hardwood is a dedicated work space with ample light, soft-back chair complete with stationary and pens.
For your comfort, you will enjoy your own privately controlled air conditioner and 5 speed ceiling fan. Not to mention the tropical breeze that blows throughout the suite.
Your queen sized bed is top of line with custom crafted side tables and handcrafted padded headboard for a comfortable viewing position to the TV. There’s a wardrobe and dresser that will accommodate all of your travel belongings.
The bathroom features a spacious breeze brick shower stall with a waterfall shower head. Feel free to use the complimentary shampoo, cream rinse, body wash and soap. Enjoy the ample hot water and pressurized system.
We also offer complimentary use of our Whirlpool Washer to our long stay guests (7 nights or more).
Our health conscious guests will enjoy yoga, stretching or meditation on our third story rooftop terrace with spectacular cityscape and cruise ship views. For those preferring to stay in and simply relax you may prefer to lounge under the 16 meter palapa where you will find loungers, dining table and BBQ.
For your ultimate pleasure we offer you our large Chukum pool serviced with minimal chemicals and poolside sundeck where you can take in the serenity of what is always referred to as a Tulum style spa like area.
Throughout the property you will see many hand made touches that lends to the artistic flare including multiple custom made light fixtures made right here in house, branding us the name Casa Sombrero Cozumel. Follow us for a photographic journey of the property.
Guest access
Guests will have access to their completely remodelled suite, private entrance with sitting area, bbq, pool, upper decks, pool and lounge area.
Other things to note
Arrangements can be made in advance if you are planning on bringing a pet. It’s important to keep in mind that they must be attended to at all times due to inherent dangers. The property is secure and fenced but one can never be to careful.

Keep in mind if your planning to visit one of the free beaches, we have complimentary folding beach chairs, umbrellas and snorkeling gear.

Familiarize yourself with the sounds of Cozumel… single loud claps or a hand horn is fresh pastries and donuts. The chanting of “Elote, Elote” is fresh corn with local spices. Continuous soft horn honk is for Ice cream. Generally they make their rounds throughout the city and come by your suite in the afternoon. Don’t miss out, these are favourites!
