Big & Bright! Downtown 4 BR house & Big Garden. Bikes, Boards & Beach supplies!

Located in the hip, laid back, eclectic "West King" area of downtown St Augustine, this large single story, 2200 sq ft house is the perfect home base to experience the historic city, sites, beaches, waterways & myriad of attractions of the area. This house is central and equidistant from the Vilano and St Augustine beaches, Golf, fishing spots, national parks, etc. No need to drive downtown, just open up our Sports Shed and take the bikes to historic downtown or if you're up for it, pedal further across the Lion's Bridge to Anastasia Island. Or, if you prefer paddling, you can take the kayaks for a quiet trip down the many surrounding waterways and marshes. We have fishing poles and a tackle box too. If you'd rather check out the many beautiful surrounding beaches take the beach wagon full of beach chairs, shade umbrellas, boogie boards, sand toys and beach mats. We also have a longboard for surfing or SUP.

With an open layout, two sitting rooms, and a huge 6000 sq ft fenced in yard with BBQ, fire pit, outdoor dining table and basketball hoop, this eclectic 70s inspired house is perfect for fams & friends.

Security cams face parking area and front entrance only.

Large TV in living room. 2 bedrooms have TVs and 2 bedrooms DO NOT have TVs.

One bedroom is accessible only through its adjoining bathroom. See floor plan in the pics for details.


IMPORTANT INFO: Rates are dependent on size of group. Please indicate guest count for accurate pricing . If your guest count changes please update reservation on the details page of your booking prior to arrival. As per St Augustine city Short Term Rental Ordinance the max guest count is the number of bedrooms x 2 (infants and toddlers not included) Due to risk to our permit, if any unreported guests show up, we charge a $350 fee per undisclosed guest per day, so please be accurate.

The STR ordinance has strict rules about noise after 10pm. If talking loudly please go inside. Neighbors can call the 24 short term rental violation hotline to report noise which can result in a visit from the law and a possible suspension of our permit.

Nice Place To Stay

We enjoyed our stay there; it is just as advertised! Location was good for everything that we planned on doing. We didn't get a chance to use the bikes or other sporting equipment provided; but loved the spacious back yard, was so relaxing to sit out there to read or just bird watch! Would stay again!

The place was exactly as listed, the host was reachable and very nice and accommodating.It was a 40 minute walk to the downtown area.Enough parking for our two vehicles.Very spacious inside for all.

Diamond in the rough

This reasonably priced gem is nestled nearby to parks and short drive to downtown St Augustine and beaches. It has all the needed amenities to get by. They paid special attention functionality and open design. The backyard is fenced in and offers wide spaces. The fire pit is great and great outdoor seating. I'll admit the plumbing is quirky but overall we really enjoyed the stay comfortably.

Full Package

The host was awesome, communication was great, and being able to accommodate my request, that had nothing to do with the vacation home, WAS BEYOND WONDERFUL! It was really serene, we cooked smores around the fire in the back yard, the crew played basketball, and the adults were able to sit outside and just soak in the serenity. The house is decorated nice and extra items in home, to where you do not have to leave at all. We will be back.

Excellent Family Stay

We had an awesome time in St Augustine and our time in this home was fun and relaxing. My kids enjoyed riding the bikes and we had all the amenities we needed for a lovely stay. The owners were very responsive before, during, and after our stay. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it highly to anyone visiting the area.

Wonderful home, open & bright!

This is such a great house… very spacious & open, windows galore, we’ll stocked kitchen, and beautiful backyard with grill & fire pit. Plenty of room for a large family and 5 minutes to downtown shops & restaurants. Very responsive owners too. We’ll definitely stay again!

We work a lot but when we are not working we love to travel and stay in unique and quirky places off the beaten path. We've been hosting our two houses in Los Angeles for over a decade but when we took a trip to St. Augustine we loved it so much that we immediately decided to sell our guest properties and move here. Our favorite part of the city is the up and coming area known as West King.

We hope you enjoy the house and area as much as we do! Please let us know if you have any questions about us or our homes.

Why they chose this property

We love this neighborhood because it's laid back, less dense and has much bigger lots than the historic district but is only a few mins away from the center by bike or car. In this hood you will see a mix of old typical Florida cracker shacks right next to perfectly restored victorians and ultra modern dwellings. With a huge steady stream of young people and families relocating to this part of St. Augustine from all over the country, the residents are equally diverse .The West King businesses are small, independent and locally owned and the vibe is authentic, and more "youthful", than the more touristed parts of the Ancient City.

What makes this property unique

The house is big and sunny with a lot of windows and an open floor plan perfect for families and small groups. We decorated it with an eye towards a vintage 70s suburban vibe. Its funky, has a huge yard to enjoy the outdoors with a basketball hoop, bbq, tables and chairs and a fire pit to gather around in the evening. Best of all there is a sports shed with bikes and kayaks, fishing gear, boogie boards, surfboard, long board as well as a wagon full of beach supplies so that guests can really make the most of this amazing area.

Each room has closet and desk space. There are two bathrooms. One with a shower and the other with tub shower combo.
