We had a wonderful time exploring trails, discovering wildlife, and relaxing in the hot tub.The location is excellent, the cabin is clean, in great shape, and has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The only hiccup was that we needed to move furniture on the first night in order to get access to all of the beds. All-in-all, this wasn't a huge deal and didn't detract much from our stay.We can't wait to come back and see this place in all of the seasons!
Hidden gem away from bustle of Hocking Hills State Park rentals and traffic.
Beautiful cabin was super clean with great layout and well appointed with all amenities needed. Truly enjoyed relaxing stay. The owner was super responsive to questions. Will book again for sure!
The cabin & property far exceeded expectations! It’s close to Hocking Hills hiking, the property's pond made for great fishing (novices, but caught a lot). We’ll be booking this cabin.
I brought 5 teenager girls for the weekend and wanted a cabin close enough drive to OU for siblings weekend. Plenty of room for us - to explore the property, spend time together in common space, or retreat to the loft or one of the two bedrooms for alone time. Cabin felt like home - from the well stocked kitchen to the family games. Beautifully designed from the moment you walk up to the huge front porch. Inside the kitchen is well stocked with spices and an abundance of nice plates, cups, cookware. Family games and puzzles on the inside - corn hole, horseshoes on the outside. Hot tub was located conveniently on back deck and was clean and perfect temp. I will save this property to return to stay here again.
Cabin and all amenities inside was very nice. We loved being by the stream. However we had no cell or internet service during our stay. We did contact the owner to work through the issue but still had problems. Contacted the owner to let him know we checked out a day early for that reason.not sure if I was accommodated in the cost .
We really enjoyed our trip to Nelsonville! It wasn't too far from the trails in Hocking Hills and was an amazing cabin. The entire cabin seemed brand new, everything was really clean and the decor/vibe of the cabin was exactly the escape we were looking for. The owners were dog friendly which was great because our dogs loved running around with the kids and exploring the property.
Honestly, the pictures on VRBO do not do this Cabin Justice! We absolutely loved this place and enjoyed our stay so much! The Cabin still looks so new, with very nice and updated appliances and amenities! There is a lake style body of water on both sides of the cabin that is so nice! We loved fishing as well as just sitting by the water drinking our coffee in the mornings! It is also very secluded. We enjoyed the amazing hot tub everyday we were there, as well as the grill and smoker! Overall, we couldnt ask for a better Cabin and will definitely be back!
Everything was as described. This house has everything you will need to be comfortable. It is so quiet. WiFi worked great. No problem working from there.
It is not easy to get our family of 6 (4 teens) to agree on much these days. With that said, one thing is unanimous. This cabin stay was perfection! We especially enjoyed the fishing pond, beautiful cabin interior, and hot tub. Our dogs felt right at home, too. It had everything we needed for a very comfortable vacation.
My favorite part was when the WiFi went out for a short time during/after a storm. At first my teenage crew was rattled, but quickly we got some cards out, told stories, and laughed together! My heart was full. This is what I hoped for.
Thank you, Scott. My husband and I are grateful you opened your beautiful home to us. The memories we made are lasting.
Beautiful cabin. Only concern was that the 3rd bedroom is a loft, not a room.
Front porch was large and welcoming! We watched a storm come in with lighting.
There is an axe throwing target which wasn't listed on the description but would have been cool to know. We would have brought our axe.
Beware of digger bees and wasps! Property needs to be sprayed to protect the renters. Husband sat down on the swing and was stung within a minute. If you have dogs, watch out for them. Since the bees hives are in the ground, the dog is swarmed as soon as he is going the bathroom.
Grills have not been cleaned and the grease bucket is full from previous guests - decided not to grill out based on that.
Hot tub was fun but didn't smell like it had any chlorine in it.
Even though it is swim at own risk, a few steps to the water would have been neat and a bonus!
