About this property

A WALK IN THE WOODS 1 - 3 Bed/2 bath cabin.

'A Walk in the Woods' Luxury 3 bedroom Cabin

If you are looking for a secluded cabin that is still close to the Parkway (6 miles) and Smoky Mountain National Park (12 miles to our secret entrance) then this is the cabin for you! This cabin is beautifully decorated and anyone will feel at home here.

Main Floor - Master Bedroom (King Size Bed), Master Bath (Jetted Tub), Kitchen and Living room

PLEASE READ NOTE AT BOTTOM CONCERNING LOWER FLOOR CHANGES IN NOVEMBER 2021

Lower Floor - 2 queen bedrooms, bathroom, and Game Room with twin bed (Pool Table) Hot Tub on deck (Amazing Views).

Please note the cabin (like almost all in the mountains) uses well water. The water is treated and filtered and safe to drink. However the hot tub will never be “crystal” clear. The sanitizers used to keep a hot tubs safe (chlorine/bromine) when mixed with well water with high mineral content makes the water a little hazy. This is totally normal and totally safe clean water.

Covered Detached Carport (Great for the Annual Car Shows!) and ample other parking.

All Rooms have Flat Panel TV's with DirectTV and Wifi available throughout. Living Room has a Wii Game Console (Bring your own games) and a Blue Ray Player, Bunk room TV has DVD player for the Kiddies to enjoy).

Hiking Guides and maps (bypass that parkway traffic) provided for renters to use.

Please enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains during your stay!

We have other cabins in the same area as well.

Shopping trip

We stayed here for a girls shopping trip. Off the beaten path but minutes to local stores and eateries. Not all the tourist stuff of the strip but close to it all. Home is nice. Good size if you have several people staying. The downstairs 3 bedrooms, is a bit loud with the utility room. As long as you are good sleepers, it won’t be an issue.

Short Pigeon Forge Getay

This cabin was a great little cabin in the woods for a quick getaway for a weekend in Pigeon Forge. It was secluded and the description was spot on! We enjoyed the hot tub and the back porch overlooking the woods. We will definitely stay again! hohtub

Fall Break

The cabin itself was decent and in a good location . We seen bears while there a couple of mornings. There was no large skillets or oven mitts. We had to wash dishes before we could use them I’m assuming due to previous guest, the outside grill has not been taken care of so we didn’t use it and there was forgotten clothing under bed and it looked like clothes and bag of trash outside of cabin in the tree line next to cabin and hottub area.

Fall trip

The property was wonderful. We had to stay in a lot more than we usually do because of weather. We were sitting on the porch and a bear family came strolling by. No complaints on location or amenities.

Nice place

Over I was satisfied. The owner is very kind, easy to contact, and easy to communicate with. The location was quiet. We even saw a couple bears outside of the cabin. We used both his directions and the gps directions without any issues with either. The beds were comfortable and the living areas were clean. WiFi was fine. Air conditioning worked perfectly. Plenty of amenities. The bathroom showers need to be cleaned better as there was some mold along the doors and knobs, and in the jets of the master bathroom tub. The kitchen is pretty well stocked with dishes and utensils. I did see reviews saying there weren’t enough pots/pans. There was one small skillet, but I had brought one from home so it didn’t affect me. Plenty of pots and saucepans. I figured either way there are dollar general’s everywhere if I needed something I could run down the street and buy it. I would also suggest checking the fridge temperature- we accidentally froze our eggs because the temp was so low lol.

A walk in the woods

Host email clear cut directions and keycodes in a timely manner. The cabin was clean and stocked. The hot tub and pool table was a bonus. My teen & adult children stated the beds they slept in were comfortable. In my opinion, the master bed was to firm and uncomfortable. Host did mentioned the internet was spotty and he was correct it was horrible but otherwise I give the cabin 9/10.

Good

I loved the location. It was our first time in the Smokey Mountains, and I found the main strip a little tacky and overwhelming. I was very happy to be up in the mountains. Positive: peaceful, clean, strong AC, responsiveness of owner, decent internet if needed Needs work: water pressure in the master bathroom sinks, missing lightbulbs (we couldn't find replacements) The pictures are set nicely to highlight the best of different angels. The view is somewhat obstructed, but it is obstructed by trees. The cabin is named "Walk in the Woods" so I think the trees are fair. We found the beds comfortable and space provided more that enough for our family of 5. Each of my teenage children had their own space and that was important to me. We cooked all but one meal in, and we had enough pots, pans, knifes, etc. to do so. The walkway needs work. I am assuming it will be repaired and we just had bad timing. It looks like the owner is in the process of repairing the back porch by sections so it is still usable. Overall, I would not hesitate to book the cabin again. It worked well for us.

Inaccurate listing

Pictures are not up to date. No view from outside as shown, the bridge pictured is not safe to walk on all the boards are rotten. Half of the deck that wraps around the house needs repaired. The new rails that they put up had screws sticking up and stabbed my uncle in the arm. The rails wobbled and the whole deck and outside yard were not safe for children. So unless you plan to stay inside for the time you’re staying there it’s not that great. The toaster was broken there were 3 pans to use and all were in horrible shape. When I addressed my concerns with the owner about the safety issues with my 3 children they had their “maintenance” man come and screw new boards over the boards that were rotten and breaking on the deck to keep the kids from “falling through” and put an orange cone on it as well as 2 orange cones on the bridge that is down from the carport to the back of the house where you cannot even access the house. The outside of the property had all kinds of safety hazards. Boards thrown on the ground, all the lattice they had recently removed was just thrown under the deck. The toilet downstairs ran the entire time we were there. The door to the porch to the back yard “view” that you are shown in pictures doesn’t stay closed which isn’t safe for children. You can only deadbolt it to keep it from just being pulled open. The owner told me I could leave and they’d refund my card for the price we paid but it would take 7-10 business days to get it back. We drove 7 hours

Nice Cabin but…

This could be a nice cabin but needs serious maintenance work. Faucets in master don’t work properly, kitchen needs help with items such as manual can opener, both of them didn’t work. Dishes were fine but utensils were dismal. The master bed was awful. Sheets didn’t fit so they kept coming off all night. The mattress was old, dirty and lumpy. Not restful at night at all. No hot water in bathroom except shower. It could be a great cabin but not getting rest was not fun.

It was OK

Nice cabin and the Manager was very responsive. Upon arrival we couldn't get the door code to work. The water/chloronator issue was "resolved", however the smell never cleared up. Most of us didn't shower or use any water at all because of the smell of the water. The water pressure isn't good. There was also vomit all over the back side of the curtain in the pool room that wasn't resolved.

Northern Lights @ Amazing Cabin

We had an amazing time during our stay. It's a short distance from everything you could ever want in Seveirsville and Pigeon Forge. The cabin is cozy and beautiful. It has everything you could ever want and then some. Just add food and drinks and you are at home. We arrived and it was very clean and had no cleaning supply smell but instead smelled like fresh mountain air. Incredible amount of parking in front of the cabin and carport. Very easy to get in and out regardless of your vehicle type (which is important when dealing with mountain roads). We were blessed with a night of witnessing the northern lights during our stay which made for a very memorable trip that the family will not forget. The hosts directions in the booking should be followed to the letter. If you follow those you will not go wrong. Thank you for a great stay!!!

Nice stay outside town

The house was as advertised and was very cosy. My only suggestions are to retip the pool cues since they had no felt. Also have your cleaners give a deep cleaning to the downstairs bathroom.

Relaxing long weekend

This cabin was an excellent place for my husband and I to spend a long weekend with our adult children! We had plenty of space and everyone enjoyed the hot tub and deck areas. I watched the most beautiful sunrise from the deck on our first morning. We had enough cookware and silverware to cook dinner each night as we stayed at the cabin the entire time. I will say, as explained in the listing, the cabin uses well water which took some getting used to. If you’ve never used well water, it has a smell, but it was manageable. Overall, everything was wonderful and I would recommend this cabin.
