About this property

Lodi Winery Estate Cottage 1bed1bath Kitchenette Pool on Mokelumne River

Welcome to the ultimate wine-lover's paradise! This winery estate cottage is a piece of history originally built in 1851 and was once the schoolhouse of Senator Ben F. Langford’s children. Today, it boasts a well-appointed bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and offers an unforgettable experience nestled on two acres of tended grounds a stone’s throw away from the main estate in which the owners reside. With a private pool and plenty of space inviting guests to unwind on the abundant lawn, this property is ideally suited for soulmates, hiking adventurers, bird watchers, or wine enthusiasts seeking an idyllic retreat. This estate is steeped in character and history, and boasts all the luxuries of a modern stay without the chaos. So take a step back, disconnect (if you must), and let all your worries melt away as you unwind in this scenic paradise.

As a guest, you will be entitled to a complimentary rosé or sparkling wine tasting at our winery, provided you make prior arrangements with us (preferably 24 hours in advance). Alternatively, if you would like to have wine chilled and delivered to your accommodation before your arrival, we can arrange that as well.

The estate is a nature lover's dream come true! It's the ultimate spot for bird-watching, picnics, lounging, and just letting go. You can soak in the serene beauty of the countryside and indulge in the starry skies like never before. Come, and unwind! You’ll be less than 10 minutes from downtown Lodi restaurants, theaters, wineries, bakeries, and 5 minutes to Lockeford antique shops, Gypsy Bistro, Daddy’s BBQ, Lockeford Meats, and coffee shops.

The estate cottage features a host of amenities, including Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV equipped with streaming apps accessible via your credentials, a bidet toilet, and a spacious kitchenette, complete with a toaster oven, mini-fridge, personal coffee maker, and a full set of dishes, glassware, coffee mugs, and cutlery. Plus, enjoy the luxury of sun darkening shades and AC/Heat for optimal comfort. A word of warning however: Should you want to throw a private bash it must be booked through the winery and is subject to a separate fee schedule.

A cottage folder will be your guide to nearby restaurants, wineries, and interesting places we recommend during your getaway.

Why they chose this property

We chose to live in this area b/c of it's close proximity to town without sacrificing quality of life and access to wonderful restaurants, wineries, and gorgeous skies.

What makes this property unique

Our property is steeped in history as it was the first settled manor within Lodi by former Senator Ben F. Langford in the 1850's, who established the Bank of Lodi and a commerce route by extending the railroad through the Central Valley.
