We enjoying staying at Das Tree Haus. It has everything that we enjoy in a property. Unfortunately, during this stay, the propane tank for the fireplace was completely empty. I attempted to call the non-emergency number but was unable to leave a message. Fortunately, there was a propane barbecue that I could switch tanks with and that solved our problem. We would stay here again.
The property is very cute, with a lovely view! It is misleading to call it a treehouse. It is built on land. We were disappointed about this, but everything else was very nice. Cute space, comfortable, great hot tub. And that view!!
Hubby and I came to the mountains to get away for our wedding anniversary. The primary reason why I booked this cabin was for the view. And the photos on the listing didnt do it justice. The view from the back porch is phenomenal. 10/10.
One issue we did have was the AC. It was struggling pretty hard to keep up with the heat during the day. The back bedroom was very uncomfortable at night because it was so hot. We ended up having to sleep with the window open, which sucked when the sun came up at 7am. We did find a box fan, and we turned the celing fan on, but both were just circling the warm air around the room. Add 2 bodies in the queen bed pished against the wall and we were sweating. So we had to sleep with the window open.
We have 4 small dogs that accompanied us on the trip, and we loved being able to bring them with us. The property is very dog friendly. We knew they would be safe if we left them alone for a couple of hours while we went to Leavenworth.
We did discover the town of Plain. We went to the Plain Winery and enjoyed the food truck.
I would recommend this propery to my friends and family. I would also rebook in the future.
This was the perfect romantic getaway for my partner and I! It has all the amenities we could ask for: hot tub, grill, coffee, fire pit, a gorgeous view, comfy bed, and all the small details that make a house a home. Wish we would’ve stayed for longer! Only downside (which we were expecting) were that the roads getting there were a bit dangerous; if coming in the winter make sure you have a good car for snowy/icy roads!
Apparently don’t use Apple Maps to find the address provided, it left us at a random spot approx a mile from the actual cabin. The fire codes in the neighborhood make zero sense, they go up, down, up and down again in #. This left us searching for the cabin on Camp Rd for about a half hour, going in and out of driveways looking at fire codes. We were about to drive all the way to Leavenworth to call the manager (no reception up there) but we ran into some other travelers that confirmed the #s make no sense and encouraged us to keep going down the road as far as we can and keep looking. Well that saved us at least a good hour or more trip, we finally found it. Note, keep going on Camp Rd until you come to a triple fork in the road, go straight the middle option and another quarter mile or so you’ll run into the cabin BEFORE the county rd turnaround. Despite the high anxiety to find the place, it was very clean and comfortable (however we did find someone’s underwear with towels in the dryer). The hot tub was fun, TV movie selection great and awesome view with wrap around deck. It is a small space, so I can see tall or larger people feeling cramped in this place. Overall happy with our stay, thank you!
We loved our stay at Das Tree House! My fiance and I were looking for a getaway for a few days to unplug and just soak in some nature. This was it! The hot tub was great, the home had all the things we needed, and the use of space was really masterful (note there are some changes to the living room since the pictures were taken - its got a cozy L couch and more space between the TV and coffee table now)! It's clear the owners take their feedback seriously as the critical comments from previous renters all were addressed in updates, including privacy curtains by the hot tub and a partial fence to add privacy from neighbors. The only challenge we had is that we have a big dog and there wasn't much space for her crate. We did manage to put it between the bed and the closet, but it meant we couldn't use the bedroom patio door. However, our dog loved being able to go on the back patio with us as the patio is fully fenced in!
Last few notes for folks coming here, there is a window AC unit in the living room, but it's a bit tough to keep the place cool during 100+F weather so plan accordingly! And if you want your own specific brand of coffee, note that there's a keurig, but we didn't see anything for loose ground coffee, though it was hardly an issue for us.
Thank you for having us! We'd love to come back again someday.
The house is small as expected, but cozy and with only two of us, we didn’t need anymore room! We had everything we needed for cooking full meals, playing games in the living room and just sitting on the porch enjoying the beautiful view; we even got an impromptu rain & thunder storm. We were a little confused finding the place because the listing and the check-in email had different addresses, but once we looked further into the check in portal, we found the written out directions. — The place could use a good top to bottom clean; lots of high up dust & cobwebs. The shower was also not draining, but we cleaned it all out. :) Thanks for a fabulous birthday escape!
Spent three days at “das tree haus” for our honeymoon. Unit was ready and clean when we arrived. We found everything to be clean and basic needs met. Thanks for having coffee (kuerig) available.
This property was beyond our expectations and the view was not given justice through the photos. We could not get enough time out on the deck and the hot tub was spectacular! The location was perfect, not too far away from Leavenworth or Lake Wenatchee! We will definitely back again soon!
Relaxing in the hot tub or on the deck while enjoying the Wenatchee down in the valley and snow capped peaks above was glorious. It's the perfect place to relax and recharge. If you like cooking, the kitchen is small but the appliances are great (caveat: bring your own knives because they only have cheap, serrated ones that saw rather than cut). Leavenworth is a fun little tourist town. There's good hiking and other mountain activities nearby. Highly recommend this for a romantic getaway.
We had great time, area was great property was great and view was amazing, it was a little dirty apon arrival there was a bag of garbage in front when we pulled up and alot of pet hair all over. Definitely could of done a better job of cleaning before we arrived but over all was a great experience.
I loved this little cabin. It has the most amazing views and I was out on the deck taking it all in pretty much the entire stay. I will definitely be coming back.
Exceeded our expectations! Enjoyed a private getaway with an amazing view and accommodations. Paired with exceptional hikes and serene environment. What more could you ask for!
This was my wife's first time to leavenworth, and the cabin, the location and management were all outstanding, the view from the cabin was absolutely breath taking. I originally scheduled our trip two years ago and besides Covid-19 there were other issues that came up and management were extremely understanding, that is a major plus for me. Thank you.
