Cabin #4 - Sugar Shack

Just in case you don’t know, we at Lydia have countless repeat customers… but we call them friends. When we first opened, one special gal, a writer would come to visit us about twice a month. She claimed this was her cabin; this was the place that some of her best work would come to fruition, and she would only stay in #4. A writer of children’s books, our friend is in her late forties but has the heart of a child, and all she did was call everyone Sugar. Male, female, dog, horse or farm animal that was your name. Our sweet friend left the area and traveled across country as she had finally been offered a job she could not refuse. Here’s to you Sugar…your success is well deserved.

Quick escape

2nd time staying in this cabin. Easy to get to, paved road up the mountain, well marked, flat driveway. Comfortable king bed. We spent more time at the cabin than normally would due to rainy weather… but could still enjoy hot tub and covered porch without getting wet. TV with lots of channels. Easy entrance and walking for elderly dog. Got a togo order from the Lodge’s restaurant and it was delicious! It’s a little high priced. Staff was very courteous! Killed a couple spiders and ants inside the cabin, but I understand being surrounded by forest. Sugar shack is a true escape from our busy lives and makes us slow down and relax!
