About this property

Quaint, clean and comfortable. Ideal location.
BR 1 (1st floor): Queen bed
BR 2 (2nd floor): Queen bed
BR 3 (2nd floor): Queen bed, plus two twin beds
Full bath and 1/2 bath are both on the first floor.
Updated kitchen with gas range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. The kitchen is equipped with nice pots and pans, silverware, dishes, glasses, a Keurig and a traditional coffee maker.
Private backyard, partially fenced.
Washer and dryer. (The basement is accessible from the outside of the house only.)
65" smart tv. Xfinity cable channels and
fast Xfinity internet/wifi.
Train tracks are located at the end of the backyard, but lots of trees mask it. (Children especially love the trains!)
Beach wagon and chairs are available for your use.
This is a popular rental, and is typically booked 100% in the summer. I take pride in keeping it fresh and clean.
Very convenient location. Easy walk to the beach (300 steps to sand), The Whirlpool splash pad, Curios kids museum, and downtown.
This is an old cottage but it's kept up and is clean and comfortable. (Best crew in town!) I'm extremely fortunate to have repeat guests every year and I truly strive to make everybody feel welcome. Perfect stay!

We loved our stay. Very clean, comfortable, and basics provided (hand soap, dishwasher tabs, toilet paper, etc). Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots & pans. Beds were comfortable. Location was perfect, beach was steps away. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Appreciated the beach chairs and wagon. Will definitely be back!

A great family stay!

My family and I had such a wonderful stay here! The host was extremely responsive, helpful, and communicative throughout. The house was just as described. It was a perfect stay for our family, as we could easily walk to the beach and to downtown. We'd love to stay again!

Perfectly located spot

With my parents being retired, this place is perfectly located. They are 1 1/2 from the Bluff and shops while my daughter and fiancé are 1 1/2 blocks from the beach.

Steps away from the beach and downtown!

Lovely location to enjoy St Joseph, steps away from Silver Beach and from downtown area. Beds comfortable and accommodation clean. Only issue could be that AC didn’t reach the upstairs, but it worked for our group. Definitely staying here again!

Girls Weekend

This property is perfect! The location gives you quick access to the beach and into town. It comfortably fit our group of 6. The wagon with beach chairs was a huge bonus! Made it super easy to set up for our beach day. The private backyard was also a nice bonus. The check in & out process was super easy, and the hosts are super communicative. We will definitely be back!

Nice Get Away

House was very comfortable. It had ntetesting both bathrooms on first floor. Loved that kids books available to read to grandson. Beds comfortable. Appliances great. Tv and internet were accessible and easy to use. The only change I would suggest, the neighbors do not park directly behind the driveway. Pretty tricky pulling in and out. Oh, and we actually enjoyed the trains running behind the house.

Great house and location

The property is only 2 short blocks to the beach (can see the beach from the corner the house is on), and an easy walk to the downtown shopping area. Was nicely set up and had plenty of space for our group of 4 adults and 1 child.

Great Summer Stay!

We had an overall great stay! The location cannot be beat. We were able to easily walk to and from the beach, which was perfect with my daughter's nap schedule. The wagon you are able to use is such a nice bonus. Yard isn't fenced in so we didn't spend as much time out there as we thought but again, you're literally 4 min from the beach. Check in/out process was seamless and the property manager was very communicative before and during our stay. Kitchen was pretty much fully stocked and people often leave whatever they didn't use. We had 4 adults and 1 baby staying + space felt perfect for a summer lake rental.

Just a short walk to the beach

We stayed with our family of 8 and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations as well as the location - just a short walk to the beach (less than 5 minutes). The house was in great shape and the property manager provided all the details we needed to have a fantastic stay. Highly recommend.

Fabulous house

The house was so well kitted out and Ken even supplied lots of towels for us because we didn't have any with us from Ireland. He also let us check out later on the day we were leaving because we had a day of rain and he wanted to make sure we had more time to enjoy the beach before we left. The house is minutes walk away from the beach and the main Street! Would definitely recommend this house.

Great spot!

Nice little house and amazing location! We loved the extra little thoughtful touches the owner provided like K cups and the beach wagon. The kids loved watching the train out back!

Perfect Beach House + Location!

Fantastic stay! This is our first year getting a home instead of a hotel. We loved it. The house was a perfect, relaxed beach home only steps from the lake. Great amenities, even a beach wagon. We could store our bikes and paddle boards in the backyard. Lots of space! Great shopping and food nearby. We always enjoy Tim Toos Asian grill and the Buck rooftop. Cabanas ice-cream is also a favorite. Michigan sunsets are amazing! Thank you so much to the hosts for sharing their home with others. Our family made wonderful memories. We hope to be back soon!

The perfect stay in St. Joes

This was the best stay we could have imagined for our trip to St Joseph. We were traveling via plane and then car with a 2 month old and 2.5 year old, and the location could not be beat. Walking distance to town, a carousel, the splash pad, the beach, a huge playground on the beach - we had such a fabulous stay. The kitchen was equipped with enough for us to make a few meals, and the space allowed for us all to sleep and stay comfortably. There was even beach towels, a wagon, and beach chairs provided which was a huge plus! We already want to come back!

Perfect family vacation spot

Walking distance to beach and splash pad! Home is very clean and well situated, many small touches that made traveling with small children easier. Host communicates well. A loose step was identified prior to our visit, we were alerted to the issue and a repairman fixed the issue next day without any disruption to our stay. You’d be lucky to spend time in this lovely home.

Gem two blocks from the beach

Charming house down the bluff. Easy walk to silver beach pizza, shops downtown, & short 5 min walk to the beach. Landscaping made the house feel surprisingly secluded. Happily there were no trains running at night to wake us up. Comfortable beds & furnishings made for a lovely stay. Only complaint is no lock on bedroom door.

Golf at Harbor Shores

We had a golf weekend at Harbor Shores and the property was perfect. Walking distance to downtown Saint Joseph and only a 6 minute drive to the course. Everything was fantastic and Ken was responsive and easy to work with. Definitely return when in Saint Joseph!

COVID-19 UPDATE:
We are taking every precaution to clean and disinfect the house between guests. There will be no shortcuts. Every light switch, counter, fixture, appliance, remote control, etc., will be properly cleaned and sanitized.

This Lake Michigan Cottage is a wonderful beach rental. It's in a great spot-- A quick walk to the beach, town, and all the St Joseph attractions. Catch the Amtrak to Chicago for the day, if you want. Two queens, one full and two twin beds offer a great combination of bedding to fit your group. Please understand this is an old cottage but it's clean, comfortable, and easy to relax in. The backyard has a nice private feel to it.

What makes this property unique

Location. Location. Location. The house is below the bluff which means your toes will hit beach sand in mere minutes. It's great at the start of the day when you can stake out your perfect spot on the beach, AND when you're tired and ready to call it a day. Nobody likes to trudge back home at the end of a long day! Forgot the sunscreen on the kitchen table? No big deal, go back to the house, grab it, and come right back. Use the wagon to haul your chairs and belongings to the beach! Past guests agree -- you'll really appreciate this home's great location.
