Great communication

Janice was a lovely host -- responsive whenever I needed assistance and accommodating when I needed to change dates or make specific requests. Just what a needed for a long stay with an infant and toddler. The location was ideal, with a playground nearby and plenty of restaurants and grocery stores.

Another lovely stay

You are in very good hands if you choose to stay here. The home owner is incredibly helpful, the house is set up for a large group, and there is lots of space for children. We have stayed here many times, and look forward to our stay next year! Highly recommended!

Get a professional cleaner

I wasn't expecting the house to be fancy, but I was expecting it to be clean. We did pay a cleaning fee, and it's a pandemic after all. My first impression - there were crumbs around the microwave, the oven mitts had food stuck to them, the blenders have dried on smoothie in them, the top of the fridge is coated with dust and grease and the blinds are dusty. I noticed more and more trouble spots as we stayed for five weeks. It seems like the cleaner doesn't do anything that is high or low. The middle is fine. The sofa and chairs are in poor condition. The surface is peeling off. Here are a couple of good things. The beds are good, well, except for the pillows. The location is good. There are many places to walk - Confederation Park, Kensington, Bridgeland, downtown, and McHugh Bluff. The kitchen is quite well stocked. I feel badly writing this review because the owner is nice and she was responsive when there were plumbing problems during our stay; however, I wouldn't stay there again and I can't recommend it.

Can’t beat for the price

Great central location! A variety of rooms to accommodate our large family. We appreciated the 3x parking spots around back. Only thing we would add is a little more attention to the outside space to continue the beauty of the inside. Would defiantly stay here again.

Nice clean home in a great location!

The property was in a perfect location for everything we needed during our stay in Calgary! The owner was very accommodating and a pleasure to interact with. The house was well equipment and clean but the furniture was outdated and the home was cold and drafty when the programmable thermostat kept lowering the temperature. The toilet in the basement should be looked at by a plumber to ensure proper functionality.

Clean and cheerful house

We found the house very clean and comfortable. We walked back and forth between downtown, a healthy walk, but very beautiful as one approaches downtown from the bluff. We also used Uber, a very reasonable fare to downtown and the airport. The kitchen was well equipped. We found groceries and a liquor store within blocks. We experienced unusually warm weather. so no air-conditioning was a minor drawback, but we spent a lot of time on the deck in the backyard anyway. Overall we had a wonderful time. Thanks, Janice!

Great location and plenty of room!

This house is easily accessible from the highway. It's a 5 minute stroll to the bluff that has a great view of downtown. As well, a fast food A&W, and a liquor store are a 2 minute walk. The grocery store and mall are about a 5 minute drive. The Deerfoot highway is about 10 away. We easily found our way to the Science Centre and Zoo, which were about 10 minute drive. The Princes Island park is close by in a 10 minute drive. There is parking in the back off the alley. The house itself was large and adequately furnished. The kitchen was stocked with most needs. The linens were newer. The basement had low ceilings with low bulkhead but we're a short family and didn't mind. The basement included a crib and highchair for those with younger children. Mostly we enjoyed the back deck, BBQ and small grassy area. Janice checked in with us promptly and was very helpful with our needs. This is a great home for a large family or multiple families. We would stay here again.

Lots of amenities so we didn't have to worry about bringing much. Great b location.

Highly Recommended

This was a great house to rent for the weekend especially with a bigger group. The rooms were comfortable and the house felt very homely and clean. There was ample space for all of us to sit and relax or even if we just wanted some private time in our rooms. The beds were really comfortable which was surprising considering that sometimes hotels beds can be uncomfortable. The house is also very well equipped with things like toothpaste, cooking oil, seasonings, detergent, etc so if you were to forget something, chances are it's already in the house. The location of the house is really wicked too with a few grocery stores within a 10 min walking distance. There are also quite a few restaurants, shops, liquor stores, etc very close by (via walking). Getting to downtown is relatively easy and inexpensive via cab. If you have to take a cab, it costs about $10-11, for a 10ish min drive. Not only did my friends and I enjoy the house, the host was extremely accommodating with any questions or concerns that we had, making this stay that much better; She honestly was one of the best hosts that I've dealt with. My friends and I are definitely going to be staying here again and would recommend to others as well.

Lovely Home

The house was spacious and had everything we needed. Fully equipped kitchen, laundry room and yard included a BBQ complete with full propane tank. I found the house fairly clean with the bathrooms again fully equipped, towels were as clean and white as snow. I was very thankful that it felt so homey. There were 6 bedrooms which were very comfortable, fans in the rooms for those hot summer days. The location was great. it was very central to the city so that's good if you're there as a tourist. I would definitely recommend this house to others.

Very comfortable house in a great location

We spent five nights staying in this house. It met all of our expectations. It was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped which allowed us to prepare most of our meals there. There was plenty of room for our entire family. My wife and I were traveling with our four children who range in ages from 16 to 25. Each child had his or her own room with space left over. The two bathrooms worked well for a large family. The laundry facilities were helpful. The house had the fastest wireless internet that we experienced during our ten days traveling in Alberta. The location is great. It is easy walking distance to downtown. Soon after arriving we walked to the park by the river and enjoyed an outdoor performance of Hamlet. We felt centrally located with an easy drive to any part of the city. All aspects of our experience were positive.

Great house! Perfect for our large group.

Modest well located bungalow which can sleep large family comfortably.

We rented this house for the week of our son's wedding in April. We had several adult children and their partners coming over the week and this home provided them all with great bedrooms outfitted with comfortable beds and bedding. The kitchen was large enough and well enough equipped to allow us to make several meals at home and we were able to enjoy using the BBQ and the table and chairs on the back deck. The kitchen had all the basic small and large appliances required and an adequate supply of cookware and dishes to meet our needs. The soft seating was limited in the living room so we needed to use dining-room chairs for added seating. The home is well kept and well supplied with kitchen basics and bathroom necessities. There are two bathrooms in this home and with several adults using the facilities it was great to have two water heaters keeping a good supply of hot water on hand. It was also great to have a large washer and dryer on the lower level of the home to use during our stay. This house was well located in a residential area within 20 minutes walk of the downtown core and with numerous stores and services located nearby. The owner was easily accessible by phone to address any question which arose during our stay.

Wonderful house.

We have stayed at many homes using Homeaway but this was one of the best. It was very clean and the bedrooms were all comfortable. It was perfect for our large group. Also we were very surprised and pleased with the added touch of having tissues, serviettes, shampoo, body wash, hand lotion etc. And the kitchen was well equipped. The location was great. Many restaurants a short walk away, only about 20 minute drive from the airport and grocery stores a short drive away too. I would highly recommend this house especially for a large group.
