Good in the Hood

I only used “Good” because “Phenomenal” does not rhyme with Hood!Wife and I booked this spot for our 10-year anniversary - along with our old pup - and we all very much enjoyed the location, the property, and overall feel of everything from the moment we started booking to when we got home. Definitely going to make our way back here in the future!

Not for us

There's a fine line between rustic/historic and not maintained well. The shower is clogged and over flows in a few minutes. The cook/bake ware is down in this dusty cabinet. There was not a sponge to wash the dishes. Needles to say, we didn't bake. I knew this property allowed dogs, but there was dog hair on a lot of surfaces. I just felt itchy. Also, the yard has a lot of dead growth. It just needs some care. I can see how adults with pets would like this place though. It was fairly clean. I slept well and so did my family, so it wasn't a cabin nightmare. Oh yeah, we did not have great reception out there and our phones were dependent on wifi and strangly enough the wifi wouldn't work at 10:30 am check out day, right around the time they want you out.

So cute

This little cabin was adorable and in a great location. It is a historic cabin and had so much character and charm! Would definitely recommend. Just a note to all my tall folks, as common in all older/historic building it is built for the more average size person. I got to watch my 6'6 husband hit his head on every door frame at least once during our stay (we both got a huge laugh out of this)

Stay at Bide-a-Wee

Lovely cute cabin with a lot of character and nice historical objects and touches, surrounded by trees and vegetation, quiet without being too isolated. We’ll place neat restaurants and one hour away from Trillium lake. Lots of hikes to choose from.

Rustic and Charming

I used to live in a cabin in the woods - this amazing little gem brought back the charm and whimsy of that life. AND the cabin was very clean, comfortable, with just the right of modern updates. It is in a wonderful neighborhood in Welches, with a wide variety of houses, close to the salmon river. It is close to Mt Hood trailheads and beautiful hikes. There is an active neighborhood road right next to the property, but we didnt mind. the place was great. I would go back in a heart beat.

Perfect home base to explore Mount Hood area

Mount Hood was our first stop on a girls' road trip around Oregon and Bide-a-wee cabin was perfect for a home base for a few days as we explored the area. We arrived early and were allowed to check-in which was great after a long day of traveling. The restaurant and hike reconditions were great and the cabin was cute and cozy. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Quiet, cozy cabin

This cabin was the perfect little place to relax and recharge. The front room with the couches and television was very cozy and it would've been lovely to use the fireplace if it wasn't such a warm weekend. The location is a very short drive to the Salmon River Trail, which was an easy, enchanting hike. The Mexican restaurant down the road was delicious and convenient. My pup and I enjoyed the peaceful walks in the neighborhood. The owner was quick to respond to questions and all directions were very clear. I loved the labels throughout the cabin, too! I recommend this cabin to a solo traveler, couple, or a few close friends who are comfortable sharing close quarters. It's darling!
