About this property
Country cabin, cycling and nature getaway with big views! AC, WiFi, patio.
Located 8 miles east of Lometa, this cabin is our little dream place. We built this with a rainwater collection system, in ground septic, but on grid electric system. The entire inside is finished in sanded plywood for walls, polished concrete, and sealed tight with spray foam insulation to keep it nice and cozy regardless of the temps.
Nestled in the heart of a 56 acre ranch, this superb property offers a phenomenal getaway for guests. It has an open floor plan, except for the bathroom which is enclosed. We recently built the queen over queen bunk bed with brand new pillow top mattresses, and have a twin over full bunk as well. It's perfect for a small group of friends or a family seeking a memorable retreat. The cabin boasts gorgeous surroundings, an amazing deck on the hill for awe inspiring sunset, sunrise, or star gazing. It is equipped with essential amenities like AC, heating, water, and WiFi. The bathroom ensures convenience, with a refreshing shower to start your day. We have 4 miles of trails on the ranch, a 1.5 acre pond, and absolute serenity.
If you like to ride, this is a gravel cycling, jeep, or moto paradise. The road is paved to our cabin (with the exception of a 1/4 mile to the actual cabin), but once you head north out of our driveway it turns to dirt quick and you can ride for as far as you can go. I have 50 to 200 mile routes from the cabin that dance around local towns for resupply of nutrition. Running from here is epic too!
The wildlife on our property is abundant too. You'll likely see deer, turkeys, a bazillion birds, and other animals from the deck while sipping coffee in the early morning or end of day. The stars up here are outstanding and it's crazy quiet too!
Enjoy your time in Lometa at our charming cabin.

About the host
Hosted by JOSH C SPRAGUE

Hey! This is our family play cabin that was built in 2022. I grew up a country kid in the midwest and now live in Liberty Hill, TX. City life is great and all, but my love for dirt is never ending, so investing in our little piece of dirt, pond, and cabin has been an amazing experience.
Why they chose this property
We were looking for a property within an hour from our house, one that had varying elevation, good trees, and at least one good pond. This place had it all, and we've continued to nurture the land for wildlife habit.
What makes this property unique
The views from the cabin are exceptionally amazing and never get old. Wildlife out here is abundant too. Though we have on grid power, we enjoyed building a rainwater collection system that utilizes the roof for our water supply where we can collect about 800 gallons in 1" of rain! The cabin itself is finished with a nice open floorplan and big views at the front. Even the ceilings inside slope from 9' at the back to 14' at the front facing the massive patio.
