There is also a private deck located at the front of the home (off of the master queen bedroom)--with a NEW dining table and bench seating, with ocean and wooded view . **ALL ROOMS, including bedrooms have OCEAN VIEWS , AIR CONDITIONING & ceiling fans! The top floor has: a master queen bedroom with A/C, private 1/2 bath, private deck with dining table, ceiling fan, cathedral ceiling and ocean view. Top floor also has an open floor plan--living room, dining & kitchen (new granite counters), A/C, all hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings and walls of windows (gorgeous panoramic ocean views!) with sliding doors to the large wrap-around deck. The deck has stairs down to the large grassy back yard with four adirondack chairs, a bench, hammock and gas grill.To the side is the staircase to your private beach. There is plenty of privacy and parking. The 1st floor- all NEW tile flooring- has 3 bedrooms- all with ceiling fans & AIR CONDITIONING, also a full bath & laundry room. There are sliding doors to the backyard and beach. All new furniture, all new beds and plush mattresses! Outdoor private fully enclosed hot water shower with tea lights for evening showers.In the shed for your use there are : 6 bikes ( 2 children, 2 teen , 2 adult), beach toys, cooler, & 10 beach chairs !!! 2 TVs: Living room has a NEW 50" SMART FLAT SCREEN TV, lower level queen bedroom has a flat screen TV. FIVE AIR CONDITIONING MINI-SPLITS THROUGHOUT HOME.

Excellent Stay. Detailed instructions and communication provoded prior to check in and self check in with lock box was super easy. Plenty of room for our family of 6. Shed with Beach chairs, toys and bikes was added bonus. The views and sunsets were incredible!

Breathtaking views A+

We had such an amazing time at Nina's! The sunset views were absolutely breathtaking, and the location is just perfect. You get the privacy you want, and it's only a 15-20 minute drive to Vineyard Haven, making it super convenient to get to restaurants and shops. The house was stocked with all the cooking supplies we needed, and the seamless connection from the living room to the outdoor deck was just perfect. Driving down the long dirt road with beautiful scenery and then being greeted by the stunning view of the ocean and Elizabeth's Island was such an exciting experience. I highly recommend paying a visit, even if it's just for a weekend - it's incredibly relaxing!

Like many of the other reviews say, this home is even better than the pictures show. The private beach was amazing, as was the yard. We woke up to a stunning view every morning. I wish we could have stayed all summer!!

AMAZING LOCATION

the house was clean the location and privacy is perfect!! you can sit and relax on the porch and hear the waves crashing. We had a car so it was easy to get all around town. The house had everything you need!!! I would definitely go back here.

Exhale!

What a wonderful place. Each day: coffee on the deck overlooking the spectacular water view, a hike through the community which felt like a state park, trip into town for a bike ride, shopping, and grab the daily catch at the Net Result, back for time on the private beach and a glass of wine. Early to bed. REPEAT. A million thanks to you Nina for sharing your peaceful place. We are so appreciative!

Serenity Awaits

Positives: Incredible views of ocean, sunrise and sunsets! Remote location offers seclusion, peace and serenity! Private beach, and for an older home, the place is well maintained and very clean. Negatives: Due to the tiny kitchen and only one full bath on the lower floor, I don't think this would be a place suitable for large groups. Weak water pressure - showering was a bit of challenge. Upon arrival, keys were jammed into lockbox, and it took a call to owner to figure out how to get out. Overall, if your not looking for a fancy, big place, this rental affords a great place to relax and take in the beautiful scenery, and puts you with in a short drive of key Vinyard towns and attractions.

Fantastic way to unwind and recharge

Hello! My family (two parents, 1 5-year old, and a couple) stayed at David and Nina’s home. Out stay was fantastic as we wanted to spend some quality time with our family and create new memories. David and Nina were so wonderful to talk to and communicate with. They thought of so many things you might ask or need for a beach trip. Their thoughtfulness made me think I was home with my family. At the end of our trip, we wanted a few more days here. The location is amazing, the beach is energizing, and the island has so many fun things to do. Would highly recommend folks stay here here.

Magical sunset views from the deck !

We stayed at this little slice of heaven for 3 nights during the Memorial Day weekend , the property is a perfect get away for people looking solicitude and mesmerizing sunset views , we enjoyed the sunset every evening , did some grilling and just chilled on the deck star gazing as the sky was very clear during our stay . The property is perfect for 2 families, the kitchen is small but there is plenty of utensils for a quick meal.

Peaceful Get-Away

lovely fall weekend

Location of the house was very remote on the island through the woods but beautiful beautiful private beach so completely worth it. House has been lovingly taken care of and updated by the owners and we thank them for allowing us to stay. Everything we needed was made available . We provided our linens and towels. Initial listing was for more than one full bathroom I thought but maybe we were mistaken. Actually had one full bathroom and one half bath but that was no problem for our family. We all shared just fine. Will always remember our time on the island.

Loved our stay in Lower Makonikey

We absolutely loved the property.. the views, the beach, the deck etc were spectacular. It was perfect for my husband and me and our 2 adults daughters and their partners. We managed better than expected with the 1 bath due to the great outside shower. The only tough part was the very small kitchen area. But we definitely made the best of it and cooked 3-4 meals there. We would absolutely love to stay there again in the future.

Ladies Trip

Great location, beautiful property! We enjoyed our morning coffee on the lawn overlooking the ocean and dining al fresco on the upper patio. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean. The kitchen is small so it would not be convenient for cooking large meals but we opted to eat out or get take-out so the kitchen size was not an issue for us. Check-in and check-out was easy. Owner was responsive to questions. We rented linens (sheets, towels, and beach towels) from Martha's Linen Rentals for $230 (4 ppl, 4 nights) so consider this additional cost when booking. The home has 1 full bath & 1 half bath. The second shower is outside so it it better suited for rinsing off after a day at the beach rather than your regular shower use. The kitchen was stocked well with most commonly used items. We made use of the blender for frozen drinks. The beach below the property was nice- private, clean, and perfect for collecting seashells. The beach chairs in the shed were a nice touch as we used these when we went to the beach. They also had boogie boards (which we did not use) but would possibly use in if visiting later in the summer when warmer. Overall, I would recommend this property. Ideal location / peaceful setting!

A group of hockey moms from all over the country came together for a long weekend at Nina's home. After traveling down a very quiet dirt road, you arrive at your destination with amazing view and peaceful setting. The home was spotless and had all of the amenities that you would need for your stay. You're minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Vineyard Haven but the home is isolated with nothing but peace and quiet and your own beach and views. The beds were super comfortable, the grill was accessible and a shed full of chairs, bikes and toys/games for kids. I would highly recommend this home!

The light at the end of a year in quarentine

After working remote, managing a house kids and dog while getting pregnant and having an infant in quarentine....this was exactly what we needed to both let go of the mental/emotional load we've all been carrying and celebrate life with family together! THIS HOUSE IS A DREAM....the listing is completely accurate BUT could never accurately relay and pure beauty that is that never ending view of MV Sound. The house has EVERYTHING you could need - the homeowners are delightful ans their booking agent was speedy and easy to work with. The kitchen is fully stocked, the laundry room has great washer and dryer the barn shed has ALL you need for the beach and they even give the house a starter kit of toilet paper, napkins and paper towels...AND a bottle of vino w flowers! The welcome/guest packet they send has all the answers to your questions as well as recommendations which was great for our first time on the island. Beds were comfy (although its hard to sleep knowing the sunrise and sunset on the wrap around deck await you) and the town is close enough to drive into for a delicious bite at the black dog or for necessities. Thank you again- my little family of four +my parents and my aunt/uncle had the best time.

Blissful

Just what we needed! My husband and I desperately needed to get away during the COVID-19 pandemic. We've been traveling to Martha's Vineyard for 30 years, staying primarily at different properties in Vineyard Haven and Menemsha. Normally we go out to dinner every night and spend part of each day shopping or exploring the island, but because of the pandemic, we knew we'd be at the house the entire time. We chose this property because we could imagine sitting on the deck all day watching the ocean. It could not have been a better choice. The outside of the property, with the decks, views, and private beach, is simply exquisite. And the views continue inside the house! Even on a rainy day, we were able to watch the ocean. The property would be great for couples traveling together or a family with children. We mostly stayed upstairs, which has a bedroom and half bath, along with the kitchen, dining, and living areas. We also used the outdoor shower, which was dreamy. And although the kitchen is small, it has everything you could possibly want. The owner contacted us shortly after check-in and even offered to bring us water when a freak power outage nearby left us high and dry for the day. We would definitely return to this gem of a place.

Beautiful beachfront home with great view!

We booked this home as a quiet retreat for our honeymoon and found just that! This house is a beautiful, oceanfront, peaceful location that also allowed us to be close to town and enjoy meals out and lots of exploring of the island. The house was cozy, clean and provided everything we needed! We will absolutely stay again. Communication with scheduling and booking was easy and reliable, not to mention our dog had a great vacation!
