Interesting experience to say the least

Okay so we get in contact a couple times with the owner about an early check in. She says we can't do an early check in but we can drop our bags off (okay sweet that's good enough). We get there to meet HORRIBLE cleaners who speak basically no English trying to kick us out, getting pissed, calling the owner and their boss, etc. I could elaborate further but I'm sure you get the idea, it was a mess and honestly quite infuriating. They aren't even done by our check in time, but at this point we're going in.... Now imagine you take all this time, we cant get in and then every single person complained about their rooms with hair all over, definitely didn’t mop or sweep or change any sheets… Other issues: 1. Unsafe neighborhood and their driveway gate didn't work so you cannot park there 2. Downstairs toilet did not work We got in contact with the owner who said they would send somebody out, but no one ever came. 3. Basement shower goes all over 4. Wind would blow open the front and back door if you didn't force it (Bad neighborhood, this should be addressed) 5. Couch is literally broken and fell out under us multiple times 6. Wifi was bad 7. Their water temperature is INSANE and burnt multiple people 8. Wildly humid You get the idea... Not a great stay. But in the end the owner reached out and apologized and offered a discount for our issues. I do greatly appreciate that, but this is a managed property and seems weird to have these kind of issues. Overall like 2.5/5

Great location

the unit had plenty of room; the internet was fast and we watched a long movie on Netflix. Everything was clean and comfortable and there was plenty of soaps and towels. Close to Washington Park so we walked there every day. Quiet neighborhood, safe location, we didn't want to leave.
