Tucked In is a 720 sq.ft. well appointed cottage with all the amenities you'd expect in a first class hotel. It is all on one level with a fully equipped kitchen, dreamy king size bed and a luxurious bathroom with a spa shower. Bathrobes are provided and the floors have radiant heat to maximize the guest experience. The cottage has WiFi with streaming channels for the TV. Excellent property and lovely location

This is truly an excellent place for a couple to stay right in the heart of Manchester, Vt. It's an adorable one bedroom home with a luxury feel to make you feel comfortable and at home. And you can walk into Manchester to enjoy this quaint town. Our host Joan is an excellent communicator with very timely messages giving us helpful information to whatever questions we asked. Cozy and Clean!

The cottage is beautiful and well kept! It has all the amenities you need for a relaxing getaway. There are plenty of towels and the sheets are very soft. It is located right in Manchester, so it is a short walk to restaurants, cafes, shops, Walgreens, and the Northshire Bookstore, but it is tucked back from the road, so it is still very peaceful and quiet.

Great getaway

Love love love this property. Joan was very helpful from booking through the end of our stay. Comfy bed, good linens and super clean. The property has a sense of home. I loved being close to town to grab coffee in the morning at Charlies cafe. If we are in Manchester again, this is our go to spot.

Wonderful Anniversary Weekend

We absolutely loved our stay at Tucked In and we plan to return to one of the larger properties with some friends. Joanie was extremely accommodating and all the attention to detail was a very nice touch. Highly recommend!

Wonderful getaway!

We stayed at Tucked In for a quick getaway in Manchester Center. The cottage is very private yet close to restaurants & retail, so everything was walkable. Very clean and tastefully decorated, it felt spacious yet cozy. Fridge was stocked with a few breakfast items. Thanks Joanie!

"Tucked In" is the perfect name

This is indeed "A luxury cottage in the heart of Manchester Center" - perfectly appointed inside and out. Joanie has thought of everything for the cottage and stocks the fridge for your arrival. If you need Joanie during your stay, she is available and very accommodating. Manchester Center is a great center point to explore from in a different direction every day. This part of Vermont is beautiful!

A real find

We have been traveling the Manchester area for 30 years, and Tucked In is one of the nicest places we've stayed. It's hard to find a one bedroom rental this new, clean and private. We cooked in a bit, and the small kitchen was well equipped. Definitely recommend this place!

Beautifully appointed - spoil yourself!

Everything is as advertised. Very clean, welcoming, and beautifully done. Luxury living just steps away from lots of things. We particularly loved sipping an afternoon wine or cocktail on the patio.

Delightful visit!

Tucked In is a wonderful property. We spent 5 relaxing days exploring Southern Vermont, shopping, dining, and enjoying coffee on the patio surrounded by beautiful flowers and landscaping. Joanie is an incredible owner. She responded promptly to all my emails and answered my queries completely. The cottage was immaculate. The colors Joanie used to decorate this charming property were so soothing. And the breakfast provisions were greatly appreciated. We have rented properties in several states since the Covid restrictions have been significantly lifted. Tucked In is, by far, our favorite. We anticipate visiting again in the very near future. Upscale Cottage in Manchester Center

We loved our stay at Tucked In. The cottage was equipped with everything we could have wanted, including an impressively arrayed kitchen for those nights we created wonderful meals with provisions from Fortunas! The shower was spa-worthy and all the touches and finishes thoughtfully luxiourious. Ideally located for walking to almost anything in either Manchester Center or Village and great as a base to discover anything in the Northshire. Wonderful for our last chance at leaf-peeping and the first taste of snow for the season. Congratulations to Joanie for hosting such a wonderful property!

Comfy cottage in picturesque Vermont

This is our third time staying at this wonderful property and we can’t wait to go back! Every season brings different experiences in Vermont and this is a wonderful home base. Joan is available if you need her, but you also have complete privacy. The accommodations are luxurious - fine linens, comfy bed, plush robes. Plenty of options for dining out in the area but we also enjoy cocktails on the patio and cooking our own meal in the well stocked kitchen.

About the host

I moved here from Westchester County, NY in 2012. I lived in that area for over 40 years. During 5 of those years I was an innkeeper in the Bahamas as welI as St. Croix. I grew up coming here, almost moved here a couple of different times and in 2012, I decided to make the move. I bought this property and completely renovated it the first year I was here. At the beginning of 2014 I set out to create Tucked In. It's new and I'm excited to be back in the hospitality business. I love Manchester and I look forward to hosting you here in my new hometown.

Why they chose this property

I looked for a long time and there was something about this house and where it sat. I didn't want to be in the middle of nowhere so this was the perfect solution. My house was built in 1895 and it was built beautifully. It was in desperate need of love and that's what it got. It took some time and a little bit of aggravation but in the end, it is magnificent and stands proudly in the center of town. A neighbor across the street described it as 'shiny'
