One of Lexington’s most iconic stays.
We were drawn to this property because of its impressive exterior. What made our vacation magical, however, were the gorgeous bedroom suites and living spaces inside. Have you seen the kitchen? No detail was overlooked, from the beautiful furniture to the coordinated artwork to the most luxurious bedding in every room. We loved the outdoor space as well and wished we had more time to spend around the enormous fire pit. Hundred year-old houses have history and the people who passed through this one are rumored to have been something special. We were told that this house was likely a stop on the Underground Railroad. We even got to peek into the small sacred brick lined room, deep in the recesses of the basement, and partially obscured by the remains of a false wall, where we were overcome with the feeling that we were actually Standing Where They Stood. It added even more to the mystery of this already magical place. Highly recommend and will most definitely return again and again.
