Love travelling and meeting new people.
Why they chose this property
We are located in Mt Baker area of Seattle and within walking distance to Columbia City and Beacon hill.
Mt Baker is one of Seattle's original street car suburbs. It's close to all the downtown attractions, and particularly convenient to the stadium, Capitol hill and the waterfront. This well established neighborhood with impressive architecture, leafy streets, lakeside location and relaxed vibe make for a comfortable and welcoming break from downtown.
This historic neighborhood was originally designed by the Olmsted Brothers. Most houses are from around 1915. Lots of parks, several nice public beaches along Lake Washington, and excellent bike routes make this a great neighborhood for both kids and adults. Our house is 5 blocks from Genesee park and lake Washington where you can picnic, exercise, swim or just enjoy the outdoors.
Good dining and shopping options are also very close. Shop at Safeway and Ross (2 blocks), PCC (15 min walk) or indulge at the various ethnic restaurants in the neighborhood ranging from Ethiopian to Italian to Japanese. We have several favorites and can provide recommendations. Columbia city also has several pubs/bars, theater, concert venue and hookah lounges to satisfy your needs.

What makes this property unique
You can easily get around Seattle from our centrally located house.
Public Transportation
Bus station is 2 blocks from the house
#7 or #49 to downtown (27 mins)
#9 to capitol hill (23 mins)
We are right in-between two light rail stations (Mt Baker and Columbia City). Both stations are less than a mile or approx 15-20 min walk from the house. Take the light rail and you will be at the stadium in 7 mins, downtown in 15 mins, the airport in 20 mins or the University of Washington campus in 21 mins. The light rail costs $2.75 each way (as of Sept 2023) and best way to beat Seattle traffic.
By car
20 mins from the airport
15 mins from downtown
12 mins from the stadium
Uber and Lyft are also fantastic modes of transportation. UberX can cost you anywhere from $20-$30 for getting to the downtown/south lake union areas. It's approx $45 from the airport to the studio (price fluctuates based on availability and time of travel).
