About this property
Glassell Park Studio with garden
A private 500 sq. ft artist live/work studio with kitchenette, bathroom, closet and garden access.
It has an open, spacious feel with high ceilings and lots of light. It is a clean, comfortable and creative feeling space with everything needed for a long or short stay.
It has a private entrance from the street and direct access to a lovely California style garden with picnic table, benches and a barbecue.
The space
The studio is private and yours to yourself. It is situated on the same property as a house which has a separate entrance, and borders a 5 unit artist live/work building (the brick building in the garden photos).
You will be able to use the front and back outdoor spaces.
The front patio, viewable from the living room and bed, is NOT used by the building tenants.
The back garden is a common space shared with the tenants of the house (Alex and Kasper) and the live/work building next door. It is not often used, so you will have it to yourself most of the time.
There is a filtered drinking water spigot on the kitchen sink - water filter changed regularly.
The sofa does convert into a bed, with bedding stored inside.
Street parking is free and unrestricted directly in front of the studio, and the surrounding streets.

About the host
Your host
I'm a native Californian, dad, and artist. I love with my son in the main house on this property. We love playing with legos, building forts and going for hikes!
Why they chose this property
Glassell Park is a great family and artist-friendly neighborhood in northeast Los Angeles. It is well located in Los Angeles, a quick drive or bus ride from neighborhoods like Silverlake, Highland Park, and Downtown. The studio is located on the main street, Eagle Rock Blvd, and is walking distance from the local park, 3 neighborhood coffee / breakfast spots, a small handful of nice bars and restaurants.
What makes this property unique
Guests often describe the property as an 'oasis', as it's situated on Eagle Rock Blvd in a more commercial stretch, yet when you step inside, the garden and studio feel sheltered from the world outside. It's a great spot.
