Convenient & Accessibe Location
The main level is pretty accessible for a wheelchair user. We brought our own ramp and the small step in the garage was no problem. Great location and close to the ski lifts.

Some definite pros, lots of cons too
I’ll start with positives. Location is amazing and it’s a big space to spread out if you have several guests and the beds were pretty comfortable (bring your own pillows however…and towels and some extra blankets). Kids loved the foos ball table downstairs. The property manager was also prompt in responding. Now for the negatives. This property needs several updates. Showers barely work, plumbing in general just isn’t great, furniture is outdated and not all that comfortable. There’s a bed downstairs in the basement that we couldn’t even use because it was freezing downstairs and the fireplace was also not working. Our biggest disappointment was the hot tub was not working AT ALL. Read all the other reviews about this issue, and yet they still lead with this amenity in their advertising. I’m sure some people don’t care, but we were really looking forward to that feature given how much back pain my husband and I both experience, and right before we were to check in we were given the “heads up” that the hot tub was being serviced but they couldn’t get it to work. So bummed. This was our first time to the resort area and we had a blast given how close we were to everything. Overall this property is a decent value for the money, but little improvements and functionality of what’s advertised would make this a place I’d come back to all the time. In its current state, we will probably pay more and look elsewhere for our next visit.

Peak Retreat Review
Property Manager wasn’t easy to get in touch with, but they always responded eventually. Directions provided in the Lease agreement didn’t exactly match directions provided in the house. The upstairs shower head and curtain fell down multiple times due to no fault of our own. Hot tub was usable but it was filthy upon our arrival. The internet/wifi did not work. The ice maker made ice, but the dispenser did not work. Overall, we would definitely come back to this house, we’re just hoping we don’t get charged for the condition of the items that were already damaged upon our arrival.

The photos don’t do the property any Justice. It’s much more unique and beautiful in person the entire area is phenomenal. Definitely worth the low price and definitely will be booking again

BEAUTIFUL HOME
The property was beautiful. Lots of room. The wifi didn't work well, new linen needs to be purchased, because the linen on the beds were not clean. Over all everyone had a good time. Would stay again.

Good place
We had a great time, but one hour in the hot tub stopped working. Maintenance said it was an electrical outlet issue and they were going to come fix it but no one showed up.

Great Location - Check in and fees are weird - No usable driveway
This location was beautiful! I arrived an hour early since there was an ice storm that day. When I got to the house I had no idea what to do or how to get in. Property management hadn't reached out to me prior to my arrival, so I ended up messaging them. They informed me that the key to the house needed to be picked up at their location (which was down the mountain and on the main road - about a 15 min drive). It would have been nice to get a check in packet/info prior to the day of arrival. The neighborhood is very nice. It had snow on the ground, but all the roads were cleared. I found it odd that the driveway and walkway to the house was not cleared of the snow whatsoever. I fell a couple of times on the ice trying to carry by bags into the house. Since there is a "Property Management" fee, you'd think snow removal would be included. Luckily, we only had one car so we were able to find a spot on the side of the road. The hot tub and privacy screens were great! the view of the snow and woods in the hot tub was amazing. I also loved that the fireplace worked. The only downside to offering a hot tub is that they do not mention that there are NO TOWELS in the house whatsoever. You need to bring your own. (Also- would have been nice to know prior to arriving). Overall we had a good time! There is a beautiful hiking trail at the very top of the mountain that I highly recommend!

Great, but...
Agree with the previous reviewer that the beds were a little uncomfortable and squeaky and the hot tub was way too small for the size of the house. The tiny utensils were also strange and annoying to eat with for the adults. Overall the house was great and the location was perfect within the resort.

Nice home but...
We enjoyed our stay at this home. The screened in porch was great for the cool evenings and card games. The king sized bed in the master was very comfortable. It was 20 minutes away from Shenandoah national park where we did numerous hikes and we also enjoyed the downhill mountain biking trails and miniature golf as well as regular golf courses which were all part of the resort area. However, there were several things that we did not anticipate... The hot tub was not hot; luke warm at best and not all of the jets worked. The hot tub was only big enough for two people...for a house that sleeps 8, we were expecting something bigger and wish that the house description specified the size. The eating utensils were tiny; child like, plastic and flimsy...investing in new silverware would be recommended We used the garage to store our bikes and the garage door was really wonky...it would not close properly without going up and down several times and my husband noticed that many of the bolts were actually missing on the mechanism that held the door which made it potentially dangerous to use. The queen size bed upstairs was very squeaky. It would make a noise when you sat down on it, got up in the middle of the night or moved around while sleeping in it during the night which was a nuisance to those sleeping in it as well as the individuals sleeping in the adjoining room. I did contact the managers office over the weekend about the hot tub and other miscellaneous items that were broken when when we arrived and the office responded on Monday morning and said the items would be fixed at some point (we were just there for a long weekend so we understood it wouldn’t be addressed during our stay) I would encourage anyone interested in renting this home ask about some of the items mentioned to make sure that they are now fixed before staying there. It would have been a greater disappointment to us if we had rented this home for an extended stay with these issues.

Massanutten reality
The poorest communication from management, no one was in the office or answering phone calls (even during their business hours). Our check in was delayed because everyone on their end was running late and not answering their phones. There was an extremely false representation to the location of the place.
