Wonderful vacation spot

Property was very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Set up of the condo was perfect for a vacation for me and my children. Plenty to do in the area.

Great Getaway

Property was great location and the amenities and suite were 5 star. My only complaint is when I asked to speak to a manager one was never on duty to handle my request. Front desk staff handled all my concerns. Also some of the members of the wyndham club were rude.

Excellent stay

This is a time share resort and after we checked in we then met with Kris the concierge. He gave us helpful info for places to eat, nightlife and riverwalk boat tours. It was very helpful and we highly encourage "Howl at the moon" dueling pianos bar. Great time!! The resort is right on the riverwalk and a short 10-15 minute walk to the heart of the bars and restaurants. He ended his speil beginning to talk about the timeshare presentation. We declined and he did not push too much. Mychal at the front desk was wonderful. Her daily smile and great attitude welcomed us every morning and night. The $25 valet service was well worth it. The room was very large with an equipped kitchen which we used to make breakfast each morning. There is a HEB store close by for everything you would ever need. We recommend visiting the 4 other missions besides The Alamo. The history and architecture was amazing. This was our first stay at a Wyndham resort and we highly recommend this one. There is so much more positive I could say about this stay but I will let you find out yourself.

Club Stays are Not Our Preference...and...

While the property was OK, we did not like the club approach. It was not high pressure, but didn't care for the "I can get you (some ticket or access)" if you listen to the 90 minute presentation tomorrow. It seems that this should be clear (not assumed) in the listing. In the end, we wanted a quiet and comfortable place to stay. The additional "focus" of club experience didn't appeal to us. In addition, the valet service lost the key to our rental car shortly after our checkin. It is a vendor to the property, it was a huge inconvenience. The Club Wyndham seemed to be attentive and aware of our situation (for 3 days), the Club staff came just short of saying "it's not our fault". While empathetic, what they were willing to offer did not cover the inconvenience. The valet service did cover the parking for each night, covered Ubers (not our prefer method of travel), and bought tickets to the zoo. The property was a 10 minute walk from the primary Riverwalk locations. The pool was fine, but the hottub was out of order. Our room looked directly into the next building, so the balcony, living room, and bedroom were areas you really wanted to spend time in or open the windows to.
