Do not, We repeat, DO NOT stay here if you value your safety.

The apartment is advertised as an 'Escape to Luxury'. This could not be further from the truth. Let me share our story: Firstly, we were shocked at the area: rundown, filthy, literally drug-dealers on the streets soliciting for sales. As we parked the car: on a side-street someone tried to snatch my purse. The police were a few cars down investigating a smashed car. We told them what happened and they couldn't take a report as we didn't see the perpetrator however they did say it was not advisable to be in that location. We couldn't access the front door of the complex however the barber from the shop next door opened it with his own key!!!! We then entered the apartment: the windows were open with easy access for anyone to climb in. We called the agent and explained our concerns: he advised we contact VRBO: We tried to do this and couldn't get through. Evidently the agent we called managed to contact them and VRBO stated they accessed the cameras' and didn't see any activity as we described. I reiterated to them it was off the side street, before the main road the unit is on: unless they have cameras that can see around corners: of course they wouldn't see anything. We DID NOT stay another minute, we ate the cost as not one penny was reimbursed. More to the point: false advertising and NO ownership by VRBO or even an apology. The worst!
