Quiet, convenient and cute

We needed a nearby VRBO to stay in while our plumbing was being replaced on our nearby home. This cozy suite was a perfect spot. Convenient to amenities, our favorite hikes, restaurants etc. The suite has a unique character with lots of neat antiques and artworks. Very well maintained. Would stay again for sure.

Glad I found a place to stay where I feel comfortable and safe. Love the simple touches - banana nut bread and bottled water!

Wonderful place. We will be back.

I was looking for a quiet, safe place to stay that was a good alternative to a hotel. I was very happy with Cathy's property. We have already booked our next stay!

Late fall stay.

No complaints whatsoever. Very clean and comfortable. Close enough to everything to be convenient, yet far enough to be quite. Very nice landscaping.

Great Base Location - Tulip Festival

The property was private and very accommodating. There were many local restaurants and taverns near the residence. Really enjoyed everything.

Cozy and comfortable.

Perfectly comfortable place to come “home” to while visiting aging parents in a nearby assisted living facility. Bedroom was pretty tight quarters and getting in and out of shower/bath not for large or physically challenged people, only reason not to give 5 stars.

Lovely little place with all the amenities of a hotel room

We really enjoyed our stay here, it was the perfect place to crash during a weekend of wedding events. The bed was comfortable, and the bathtub was huge! The location was close to the highway and super essy to run into town. It is best if you plan on eating out a lot, as there is just a microwave to prepare food. Also, the wifi wasn’t strong enough to do much of anything.

Very nice place, relaxing, inviting, and with a little historic charm.

Would definitely stay again. Very nice accommodations and in a perfect location close to the beautiful cascade mountains and close to the historic sea town of Anacortes. Will recommend to others.

Lovely suite!

This is a beautiful suite that was in a great location to drive to some beautiful locations. The hosts gave us suggestions of what to see, and they did not disappoint! The suite is charming, private, convenient, and has a very comfortable bed. There were treats in the frig when we arrived (the lemon cake was to die for!!!), and the hosts thought of everything. The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five is that the suite is decorated within an inch of its life, and it made me nervous that we were going to damage something. For a vacation place I prefer something a little more stripped down--all the necessary amenities, but not a lot else. Other than that, which is just personal taste, this was a wonderful place to stay. I walked up the street and picked 3 cups of delicious blackberries. They were growing wild everywhere. There is also a walking path a short distance away which I used both mornings we were there.

Adorable suite!

Cathy was a great host! She was very communicative and accommodating. The space was just as in the photos and very comfortable. Kathy left delicious cheese, nuts, sweets and even on and champagne for mimosas!! We were lucky enough to run into Cathy and Randy on out way out. Great accommodation, great location, excellent hosts!

The suite was very nicely decorated and comfortable.

Overall the property was nice. Personally, we found the “kitchen” area too confined and would not select this arrangement in the future. The gardens were lovely and we enjoyed the hot tub and bird feeders.

Randy and I have lived in Skagit County all of our lives. I am from a very large family. My great great grandfather homesteaded here in 1881 and the property is still in the family. Randy has worked for a local aerospace company for over 27 years as a NC Programmer/Designer. We have 3 children. We have been blessed with 6 wonderful grandchildren. We also love traveling .

Why they chose this property

We both grew up on large country farms. When we were looking for a home we wanted a house in a quiet private neighborhood and when we found this home we new it was perfect for us. It had a nice private back yard and wonderful gardens and we wanted a fireplace and this one had two.

Let our three room Suite be your home away from home. Through your own private entrance is he bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed. The private bathroom offers a raised tiled bathtub/shower, granite vanity and marble floor. An antique crystal chandelier in the bathroom provides soft light, perfect for a relaxing bath. The tastefully decorated living room has a gas fireplace to make this place cozy, and a small table for games or having your continental breakfast in the morning. there is a satellite TV, DVD player and wi fi as well. The living room and the bedroom are separated by leaded glass French doors. Your privacy is insured by locked rustic double doors. Your suite is the perfect location from which to relax or venture out to explore the Pacific Northwest as we are just minutes away.
