Perfect mountain cabin

This is the cutest cabin and the perfect mountain getaway. We loved the peacefulness of the property-even in the chilly rain! Listening to the creek and nature was just what we needed and my dogs had a blast! All communication was quick and the hosts answered all of questions before and during my stay. Can’t wait to come back!

Dugspur trip

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The cabin is a little bit far out.We had some issues with check in because the access codes were wrong. The owner/manager was pretty quick to respond and provide the correct information. The stream was very nice, and the porches allowed us to sit outside on windy days.

Peaceful creek

Quiet cabin away from people and roads. Rain shower on the metal roof added to the tranquility. Good for reading and recharging

Cozy cabin by lovely creek

The hosts were very gracious and the house is nicely appointed with amenities that make for a comfortable stay. It is idyllic if you are able to drive in and stay for the duration of your getaway. Once we arrived and settled in to the house, it was very pleasant. We stayed in May and temps were between 45 and 74 degrees, so weather was nice, but we were surprised there was no a/c and thought it should have been mentioned. The house was a little buggy, with a variety of insects making appearances. Not horrible though. The drive to and from was very difficult. We stayed here for our son’s college graduation and it was a pretty treacherous drive up and down to get to the house, and we had to make the trip a few times. You should take an all wheel drive vehicle if possible. We were grateful not to have to do the drive-in or out during a down pour. It is these three reasons that we rate our stay a 3 out of 5.
