This is by far the worst rental experience we have ever had. Based on the pictures in the listing, we thought we were getting a nice place with nice amenities. This couldn’t have been further from the truth - the pictures were completely deceptive, and nothing like the place we showed up to. Please read on before booking to avoid the same mistake we made!
-For starters, the yard was not landscaped, and had weeds everywhere.
-On the inside, the Air Conditioning was not cooling the house properly, and left it disgustingly hot in the middle of summer!
-The refrigerator was also not working and we had to use the freezer to keep our food cold that we had brought with us.
-Multiple power outlets were not working throughout the house.
-We found a scorpion inside the house!
-One of the most disappointing things was that pool was completely green (the main reason we chose this rental was because it had a nice looking pool in the pictures).
-There was a very limited amount of dishes available in the kitchen.
We contacted VRBO to ask for a refund, so we could rent somewhere else with acceptable conditions and were told they needed approval from the owner to issue a refund - that’s when our bad situation turned worse. The owner started messaging me asking what our problems were, and when I replied with a list of issues, the owner tried to deny all of them rather than trying to solve the problem. We left, and rented somewhere else.
