Gulfport was wonderful!
We had a great time in Gulfport,Florida. The house the area and the people were grata! We also plan on taking our vacation there again next year. Very glad we found Gulfport on Vrbo!

Wonderful Thanksgiving retreat!
We had wonderful time spending Thanksgiving at this little, sweet, and cozy bungalow. Everything was perfect! We could not have asked for more! Would love to return to that place again. The kids enjoyed water sports, and my husband and I - the museums at St. Pete. Thank you for sharing your property with us!

Enchanted cottage
Cozy, clean and quiet is what the 7 Egrets cottage is. Small enough to be cozy, large enough to entertain a dozen. Located less than two blocks from the beach, shops and restaurants. It’s charming with all the comforts of home.

Unhappy Guest !!!
After arriving to the house I was very happy about the location. Within walking distance to the water and shops. The house is small not ideal for more then three people. The owner said they were pet friendly and I told him up front I would be traveling with my two dogs. I bring them everywhere with me and we have stayed in some of the best hotels in the state. Im always prepared when we travel making sure to bring blankets to cover up things and put down on the floor. First thing I wanted to do is take a long hot shower after being on the road for two days. After getting into the shower I saw mold in the corners and on the wall there was also a funny smell after turning on the water. Not long after that the hot water started going out so I had to end the shower early. After looking around I saw the water heater in the closet and it was way to small for this house. If your traveling with kids this is not the place for you. Then I went to unpack and sat on the bed and it sounded like it was going to fall thru the floor. Wanting to make my dogs feel at home so I moved the table to the side and put their blankets on the floor. Then used one of the blankets from the spare bed to cover the sofa. Before doing that I noticed the carpet was filthy good thing I travel with blankets. There was only a very small trash can in the kitchen so I had to take the garbage out to the ally almost every day. Parking in the ally was a mess you need a 4x4 to get thru so hope you don't have a nice car. I had to go to the carwash every other day. The wash and dryer are also in the back of the house you have to go outside then into the back of the garage. There is an apartment upstairs that is also being rented out so be prepared for other people sharing your space. When I left I put the dirty towels and blanket on the floor in the bedroom just like when staying in a hotel. I then received a notice that the owner was keeping half of my deposit cause there was dog hair on the floor, dirt on the blanket and a slice of pizza was left in the fridge. That is something the cleaning fee should have covered so not sure what he is trying to pull. I guess he was not planning on cleaning the place for the next renters and just keeping the cleaning fee. Even a 5 star hotel does not charge extra for dog hair and if a blanket got dirty just wash it. Better then the dogs being on the sofa that cant be washed. If the hair is that big of a deal then "don't allow dogs" cause they do shed...

Paradise in a quaint little town
My husband and I needed to get away for about 12 days and this little cottage was a gem in the middle of the quaint town of Gulfport. A block and a half from the beach and right around the corner from restaurants, bars and new friends. We recommend this place to everyone!! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you Bette and Jerry.

Quiet getaway spot
This cottage is clean and very well kept. Though small, the kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed. It is in walking distance to restaurants and shops and the bay. There is just a short drive to St Pete beach as well as grocery stores, shopping mall, movie theater and downtown St Petersburg as well as parks and trails. This is a quiet little getaway spot in the middle of everything.

Wonderful month stay at this charismatic cottage! Located in a lovely, artsy neighborhood where bars and restaurants are so close, you can walk! Also, the beach is just a quick car ride away. A+++

Great Location for a home away from home
We stayed here in our transition from moving from California to Florida. Its a cute house in a cool neighborhood. I just wish there were no mosquitoes so we could have enjoyed the outdoors a little more.

Beautiful Place
This house is so beautiful. In the middle of old trees you can watch little squirrels while sitting in the front yard. The house very, very lovely decorated. The kitchen is fully equiped. The oven is easy to use. The house is super clean. The beach is to reach in less then 5 minute. Gulfport Shops und restaurants are in walking distance. Gulfport is a beautiful place to stay. A bustop is near the beach. Everything is beautiful. House and Gulfport. We would move in the house forever, but our vacation were only 4 weeks. Wenn love that place and we will come back for sure. We meet Jerry Lischke and he is very nice, helpful and very generous. FranK, the manager did a great job. He was easy to contact and he did everything to make our stay perfekt. We will be back....

Great cottage in a great location.
The property is nicely decorated, comfortable and welcoming. My 3-month extended stay was very relaxing here and the front enclosed porch and back patio is definitely an added bonus. The kitchen is more than adequate Within walking distance to everything in Gulfport and an easy 10-15 minute ride to St Pete Beaches, Ft DeSoto Park and downtown St Petersburg. Definitely a good rental value. Frank, the property caretaker/manager, was very friendly and courteous. I hope to return.

PERFECT LOCATION REALXING AND LOVELY!
WE LOVED THE CARE AND ATTENTION SPENT ON DECORATING THE COTTAGE - IT WAS VERY CLEAN ANAD EASY TO BE IN. THE OVEN WAS A BIT OF A CHALLENGE BUT THEY THE COTTAGAGE COMES WITH AN OUTDOOR GRILL . WE THOUROUGHLY ENJOYED OU TIME THERE AND WOULD DEFINATELY GO BACK!

In 2005, after vacationing in Gulfport for many years, my parents, Bette and Jerry Lischke bought and restored this darling1938 cottage; christening it 'Seven Egrets' and the cozy apartment in the carriage house, 'the Tree House'. In recent years, as travel became difficult for my parents, my husband Stan and I bought the property. It brings us such joy to be able to continue our family's traditions here; and to share it with others.

Why they chose this property

The location is perfectly situated in the Arts district, which is the heart of Gulfport. The property is close enough for a short stroll to the beach or out for shopping and dinner; but far enough to be insulated from the live music and late-night revelry downtown.

What makes this property unique

Seven Egrets cottage is awash in the joyful memories of our family and many returning guests (you can feel the love). Having rented and owned other homes in Gulfport, we are proud to to say that Seven Egrets cottage is in a league of her own!
