The house is exactly the way it was described. A nice, relaxing place for a small family of 3. The hosts are friendly and welcomed us as part of their family from the start Nice to have horses and outdoor cats to greet you as well.Thank you very much!I would 100% stay here againThe hospitality and family atmosphere was refreshing Thank you Blessings
I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The peaceful quiet was just what I needed to decompress. The hosts are such wonderful people. I feel I have made new friends. It was hard to leave
We needed a place to stay for my cousin’s son’s wedding where most of the festivities and places we needed to be were at his house on Lake Weatherford. This rental was perfectly located just 5-6 minutes away and had the added attractions of horses and cute barn kitties that loved scratches. The bed was comfy, the amenities were great, and the hostess made sure we had everything we needed…she was even quick to bring an iron and board for our wedding attire! We would definitely stay again and recommend it for anyone as well!
The property was clean. The flys were a problem, could not sit on the patio comfortably . Check in process was easy peasy, loved it!! Accuracy of the listing, listing suggested luxury furniture. Too much furniture in the living room area. Furniture was old and outdated. TV was really small. On the bright side, the king size bed was very comfortable. Kitchen provided everything you need. Nancy and Alan, the hosts are super nice, friendly and very accommodating!! I gave an overall rating of five stars because of Nancy and Alan, and also the peace and the tranquility of the beautiful property!!
My husband and I stayed there for a weekend to attend a wedding and it was an absolutely perfect spot. The owners were super nice! Definitely would recommend staying there
The entire stay was wonderful. The owners were helpful and a joy to get to know. The property is in a very peaceful location with ponds, trees, wild flowers and most of all, horses.
I enjoyed my stay and count it as an invaluable experience.
My daughter and I were so happy to stay here while she competed at the Willow Draw Horse Trial, just minutes down the road. The cottage was perfect and we wish we could have spent more time there. Such a comfortable bed, and we loved all the horse decor! We would definitely come back - thank you for your hospitality!
Such a beautiful and quiet place. Living area, kitchen with bar seating, full bath and bedroom. Clean. Loved the beautiful property. Got to meet a beautiful horse and friendly cats who wanted to be petted! Enjoyed our stay.
Excellent set up as a one bedroom rock cabin. Excellent WiFi. TV, kitchen, shaded porch to watch the deer in the morning and in the evening. Air conditioning full bathtub and shower with excellent water. Fully stocked with linens and towels, soaps.
If you need a quiet getaway to the country, you definitely should consider Stillwater Horse Ranch. Location is convenient for city dwellers who need to get in touch with green pastures, beautiful horses, amazing sunrises/sunsets, and the company of content and friendly barn cats. Our accommodations were comfortable and well stocked with anything you might need. Nancy and Allen have created a beautiful space that makes you feel right at home. We’ll definitely consider a return trip the next time we need to run away from home!
It was a very hot weekend for the Weatherford peach festival but had a great time at Allen and Nancy’s horse ranch. The place is quaint and comfortable with all the basics you would need. We really enjoyed the cats, dogs, horses and watching the deer.
Alan was very attentive to all our needs and we enjoyed our daily chats. We had a great time at the peach festival and hope to be back again next year; staying at the same ranch and next time we will bring our golf clubs.
My wife and I could not have been more blessed to stay here. We were looking for a quiet place to spend a few days away and see some new country. The property was very inviting and quite beautiful as the horses greet you at the driveway. The property is far enough out of town to be quiet, but also close enough to make a short drive into town for great food. Nancy and her husband were wonderful hosts and we look forward to staying here again! 100 out of 100 recommend!
If you need rest and relaxation, this country cottage fits the bill! This horse ranch is surrounded by lush green land and hills. It is located near a small lake with a mile long floating boardwalk which is perfect for hiking! There are other beautiful longer trails within a 5
minute drive.
Great place to get away from the hectic day to day grind of life. We enjoyed the horses, dogs and cats who all stopped by to visit. Will definitely stay again when we are in the area!
Life has been exceptionally difficult this past year and we needed time away to recharge.
This place was perfect for us. Not too far from home that we could easily catch a couple of important events, but far enough that we could rest from everything else. This cabin was an excellent place to get away from the chaos of life. We enjoyed the horses and the brand new litter of puppies. I got great pictures of some deer. Also a mamma sow and her 6-8 piglets who came out of the woods a little too early to get corn from the deer feeder. (They were pigs not wild boars.)
We came here to do mostly nothing for a change. This place was perfect for that. Yet it is close enough to Weatherford for dinning or shopping. We grately appriciated the stay.
Overall good stay. One complaint - bed is over 3 feet high - does not do well with a short person with bad knees. Dogs bark middle of the night (you are in an area with critters) - so full nights sleep is not going to happen. We enjoyed being away from the hustle/bustle - loved the horses that were there.
