Spacious 1928 carriage studio with big windows, original heart pine floors and vaulted pine inlaid ceilings. Next to pretty parks, museum & walking distance to numerous restaurants, events, entertainment. Downtown, OU Health Science Center, Midtown, Plaza District & Paseo Arts.
Wonderful location carriage studio with a fully equipped kitchen but no dishwasher.
Very comfortable full size bed.
Sunny studio is seems larger than average, fully furnished with pretty, comfortable decor, and super clean.
Free, private, high-speed Wi-Fi and consistent connection. If you're here for work. Spread out at the large soapstone work space.
Lovely bathroom; Enjoy soaking in the deep original claw foot soaking tub , full shower with hand shower as well.
Plenty of storage space in closets placed at the at the head and foot of bed.

We got Engaged
Adorable, eclectic little cottage, amazing location and most all creature comforts. We are used to a King size bed, so a full was a little bit of an adjustment and the lock was finicky, over all it was AMAZING and we would stay again. Loved the quaint atmosphere.

I had a really great stay here. It was in walking distance to places to eat and coffee shops. And if it wasn’t in walking distance it was a short ride to anywhere I needed to go. Super super cute and can’t wait to come back!

Lovely studio with privacy and access. Great neighborhood. Wonderful homes with beautiful lighting.
I loved the property. My only complaint was the water pressure in the bathroom, but that pales in comparison to the value of the property. Michale was also a wonderful historian regarding the changing urban structure of the area.

I had to travel to OKC for family business. Because I was alone, I wanted someplace where I would feel safe, but also comfortable and with a kitchen. This little garage apartment fit all my requirements! It’s decorated professionally, but not fussy. It had everything I needed, even an ice cream scoop! Its small, but I never felt confined. There is a welcome binder with suggestions of places to eat that are close and locally owned. I’ll definitely stay here next time!

Me and my husband really enjoyed staying here!! Cottage was very cozy and had everything that you could possibly need. We walked several places while there and everything was within a very reasonable distance. We also used a Lyft for other traveling while there and never had to wait more than 6 min for a ride. Drive or walk around the neighborhood if you can!! The houses around there are gorgeous!!! Highly recommended place to stay!!

Perfect cozy stay!
My partner and I were in the city for a quick trip and this place was absolutely perfect for the two of us! Clean and cozy with really unique and charming decor. Loved the vintage feel with modern updates. Great location too— close to streetcar stops and we enjoyed walking around the beautiful neighborhood of Heritage Hills. Nice quaint neighborhood home
This place was clean and the perfect space for a couples retreat to okc! The spot was private and quiet. We walked most places we went but had access to the street car and scooters which were helpful too! The only con my girlfriend noticed was that there wasn’t much water pressure in the shower, but other than that a great stay!

Cute studio in a beautiful neighborhood!
Stayed in the carriage studio a little over a month. It was very cozy and comfortable. Had all the amenities plus some. Decorated very nice! Felt very safe in the neighborhood, and it was perfect for walking.

The cottage studio felt like home immediately. Even though I was only there for two nights I felt like I was sad to be leaving my new home when I checked out. Small touches like an iHome clock radio that I could connect my phone to and listen to my music while I worked, USB plugs, Earl Grey tea, cream, and others added up to make it perfect for me. The way to cottage was decorated was interesting and not at all trendy or over-the-top. It felt homey and interesting. The prefect antidote to an austere hotel room or an expensive hip, trendy, self conscious hotel.

I am an interior designer. I have completed high end residential, hospitality, restaurants and bar design and and have been active in the design/development of new urban infill multi housing.
I have lived in this neighborhood since 1982. I have renovated many homes and historic buildings. I am so pleased that my effort has contributed to the re birth of OKC's urban core.
I have 4 dogs and 3 cats. All have found their way to my home and stayed.
My home is a duplex. I live upstairs with the carriage house in the back.
I welcome individuals who are kind and respectful to all people.

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood located Downtown is over 100 years old and one of the most beautiful in Oklahoma.
The studio is located on the edge of the neighborhood. If you want to be near the activity but not in it , this is your place. The studio has a wonderful ambience feels like you are in a cabin in the woods. The woods in this case are 100 year old trees and very interesting assortment of turn of the century architecture. Your view from the windows of the studio is upon a beautiful belle epoque limestone museum.
This little studio was a labor of love for several years. It was a total wreck and required everything to be replaced and renovated. I do this for a living but when it is your own place you put it behind everyone else. When I completed it I thought I would use it for my design studio but all my design samples overwhelmed it.
So when we bought a small iconic mid century office building I moved the design clutter out.

What makes this property unique

Near everything Midtown, Auto Alley, Downtown, Uptown, Plaza District, Arts District, Film Row, Deep Deuce, Bricktown. You won't need a car. Uber is very affordable arrives in about 4 minutes on average and a Spokies station is within 8 minutes walking (bike share program).
