The 1500 sq foot house is located on an isolated 1.2-acre plot off a cul-de-sac shared with one other house (out of view) and down a steep driveway, assuring maximum privacy from the street. It extends out over the canyon, with gorgeous views from two decks, from the hot tub, and from every room, all of which feature large windows looking out onto the wooded landscape. Sunsets are wonderful and there is direct access to Apache Lake at the foot of the property via a short trail through the woods.
There are two bedrooms – one large, one smaller – and one and a half bathrooms, including a large shower, as well as a large living/dining/kitchen area. The house was thoroughly renovated in 2023 including new flooring, kitchen, bathrooms, appliances (including washer-dryer and dishwasher), 65” TV, propane grill, and furniture.
A hot tub sits on one deck, with views down the canyon and up at the stars.
Deer traverse the property, and a fox has been sighted. A small creek is situated at the bottom of the property. You can hear the trickle of water from the decks.
At the other side of the creek is Apache Lake, a former quarry now rarely used. Swim shoes suggested. Ideal for swimming, kayaking, paddle-boarding, and other water activities. We now have two kayaks for use by guests.
Other things to note
The driveway is steep. We have not had any trouble navigating it with our old car; nor have our guests. However, please exercise caution if the ground is wet and especially if conditions are icy. And please go forward (not backward) when driving up and down the driveway. If you are concerned, you can park your car at the top of the driveway and walk down.
