**Take a look at our description as well as pics to get an idea of the beauty and serenity that we have come to love on the lake...this is a NEW build and a work in progress so as we continue to prepare our home for your visit, new pictures will be added.**
Please email us if you have any questions!
WELCOME to our home, and YOUR new happy place! Every day can be "easy like Sunday morning" on Smith Lake. Our house is built as close to the water as possible... so close you can almost cast your line off either of the 12 foot deep porches. Rocking chairs, a twin bed swing and single chair swings, as well as Adirondack chairs and benches are on the porch so you can rest, relax, and enjoy the amazing view!
There is plentiful outdoor entertaining space on our two large porches, with a gas grill on main porch, and then a very short walk leading down to a single slip dock available for you to secure your boat. For fun in the sun, we have lounge chairs on the dock, as well as two kayaks and a paddle board for all to enjoy.
Indoors, guests will find comfortable living spaces so family or friends can do things together like enjoy a meal, watch a movie, and play games... or guests can spread out to enjoy different activities on any one of three levels.

Overview of conveniences in the area:
In Arley, there are grocery stores, a coffee shop/restaurant, a beautiful park, public library, and unique stores for shopping including a vendor flea market and the locally owned Smith Lake Style Co. More grocery stores, casual and upscale restaurants, produce markets, and retail shopping all located within a quick 10 to 20 minute drive from the house (Curry AL 10 minutes and Jasper AL 20 minutes). Let us know your favorites!
Other things to note:
We offer Sprout high speed internet for guests, which is generally able to support streaming, web browsing, and video calls. We now have 2 smart TV's, one main floor and one basement living area, but at the lake, it seems most folks spend less time with technology, and more time making memories with family and friends.
Our property has a parking pad available in front of house for 3-4 small to midsize vehicles. There is also a small parking area midway down the drive for 1-2 additional small vehicles. You can also leave a boat trailer at the top of driveway, as long as it is well off the main road.
To do nearby:
Arley is a friendly, quaint little town that has family oriented festivals and activities all throughout the year, including the Arley Day Festival. The 51st Annual Arley Day Festival in 2024 even included a pickle ball tournament on brand new courts at the park.
Also, our home in Arley is built right on the edge of Bankhead National Forest, where you can find beautiful waterfalls and hiking trails to explore.
Last but not least, Birmingham, with all it has to offer, is just a short drive away (60 minutes); it's perfect for a day trip to visit the zoo or play Top Golf or maybe shop at the Galleria, then come "home" to the lake for a relaxing peaceful evening.
**Breaking news : There is a new large resort, convention center, hotel, and recreational area with all sorts of amenities on the Cullman side of Smith Lake in the planning stages. It will be approximately a 30 - 40 minute drive to enjoy all the new development planned on the east side of the lake, then you would be able to come "home" to our quieter side of the lake, to rest after a long day of activities. Best of both worlds!!
Again be sure and browse through the above information for the house, but let us know if you have any other questions about the area, or if you find a real hidden gem in the area we can pass on to other guests! At Smith Lake, you can do as little or as much as you'd like...just make memories!!
