Cozy Cabin

Exactly what was advertised! Great location and cozy log cabin experience. The bit about the mice droppings is also accurate:) it would make a big difference to clean up droppings prior to guests arrival. We knew it was rustic but having droppings on the clean towels and plates in the cabinet was a bit of an ick.Thank you for the opportunity to share our experience.

Cozy cabin for a weekend in the mountains

This cabin was the perfect trip for a cozy weekend in the mountains. The location was very quiet and peaceful, and the cabin was clean and comfortable. It was great to be able to bring our dogs with us as well!If you go in the winter, just be sure to bring a shovel - the driveway was plowed, but the path from the driveway to the front door was snowed in. There were shovels on the property, but were either frozen into the snow or on the other side of the snow bank. The area does get a lot of snow in the winter, so come prepared! We had a great time and would definitely rent this cabin again!

Quiet Stay

This was perfect for what we were looking for. We did some hiking up in Crawford notch and drove the Kancamagus highway, all within 30 minutes of the house. Super close to some of our favorite restaurants in the area as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice Cabin- Good Location for Mt Washington

I stayed here with my friend and my dog when we hiked Mt Washington and it was great for us. Awesome location between Mt Washington and everything in North Conway. The check in process was very easy. I would stay here again.

Cozy quiet log cabin.

Nice little cabin off of black mountain road with easy walking distance to the town center and all of Jackson’s hotspots. We liked this cabin it was quiet and rustic and we did not see any rodent or rodent droppings anywhere from reading previous reviews so that was a plus. Overall nice little cabin in the woods if that is what you are looking for.

Peaceful cabin

We had a good stay although it kind of felt creepy because there were no blinds on the kitchen door so we were kind of afraid to sleep.

Family weekend getaway

The house was in a great location. The bedding and towels were clean. I know the house was is in the woods however the mice droppings was disgusting. We notified the management company and never dealt with this issue. It’s unacceptable to me.

Great Location

I love that it was a log cabin and it a great location just minutes to Story Land, Jackson Falls and great restaurants. If you are coming in the heat of summer bring a fan, there is no AC and the upstairs rooms are warm. If you want to cook the kitchen is older, coil stove tops and an oven, no dishwasher. They did not provide a grill for outside. I did love the cabin feel and it was great for my family and dogs. Just know it is a little bit rustic on some parts, but still homey.

I want my money back

When we arrived there was rodent activity all over the house. We found mouse feces and urine inside the folded towels that were provided to us and on most of the carpets in the house. We tried to contact someone about cleaning up the mess and getting more towels and it took two days before anyone arrived.

Cozy Getaway, Poor Property Management

The property is as described however the management of the property is subpar. Upon arrival we noticed the snow shovel was broken, given the snow covered steps and the forecast for 6-10" we reached out to the property manager for a shovel to be dropped off. The initial response was "we recommend guests bring a shovel". I argued the point and eventually one was provided. The next issue was with the garbage. There is bear proof garbage can which was full of refuse from the previous guests, full to the point we couldn't add any more or close it. After contacting management, they told us to just put our garbage in bags and leave it in the kitchen. Given the small size of the kitchen garbage can, we had to have an open garbage bag to accommodate what the kitchen can wouldn't handle and that which the overflowing outside bin couldn't handle. This leads me to snow removal - the home is the 1st on a steep hill. As previously mentioned, we had some snowfall which rendered the road impassible if not for all-wheel drive. While we conquered the uphill battle, the anti-locks screamed on the way downhill. 18 hours later the driveway was plowed and sanded and someone emptied the garbage. The home is great for a couple or a family with small kids. The bathroom is TINY so prepare accordingly. It seems like the homeowner is new to renting given the short rental history and confusion with the management company and owner.FYI - this is a VACASA managed property
