About this property

Centrally located two-bedroom cottage located between the north and south side beaches. Dennis beaches are the most spectacular Beaches on the Cape (IMHO)! A 10–12-minute drive to a beach in either direction. Minutes from Exit 78A (old Exit 9A) exit off of Route 6. Fully stocked kitchen including a lobster pot.

Central air-NEW this year.

Quiet neighborhood. Nice large yard for kids to play. Deck and screened gazebo have table and chairs for entertaining. Gas grill, cooler, beach chairs, sand toys, and portable highchair all for your use/enjoyment. Sit around the fire pit at night roasting marshmallows enjoying the breeze off of Kelly's Bay.

Large outdoor cedar shower with hot & cold for washing off after a day at the beach🏖️

Only a short stroll to Kelly's Bay located on the Bass River which offering a small wading area where you can launch your paddle board, kayak or drop your fishing line in the calm waters. The neighborhood offers easy access to Patriot's Square and Ring Brother's Shopping Plazas. Stop & Shop, Dennis Movie Theater, Red Cottage Restaurant, Mini Golf, Go Karts and the John Kelly Recreation Area which is walking distance (located off of Old Bass River Road) which offers a playground, walking trails, baseball field, tennis & basketball courts.

New Bike Trail entrance located on Main Street in South Dennis, less than 5-minute bike ride from the cottage, near the Red Cottage Restaurant.

Perfect little getaway!

We had a lovely time at this quaint little cottage! It had everything we needed for a short getaway to the Cape, including a grill, kitchen appliances, and cookware. It is very small, but we loved it. After all, we spent the majority of our time out and about. There was a deck for us to sip our morning coffee, an eating nook, a couch and several chairs, a room with a queen bed, and a room with 2 twins, as well as an outdoor grill and covered gazebo. Everything was as pictured. This little cottage has definitely been well loved, but we felt that was part of its charm. The owners were communicative about any issues and established a way for us to call/text should we have any questions or concerns. It was also very quiet, and the house is on a private lane. We were just a 10 minute drive from a variety of beaches, including the Mayflower Beach in West Dennis which has an unbelievable view of the sunset. A perk of staying mid-Cape is how accessible the entire Cape is! We got to explore Dennis, Chatham, and Harwich. The Red Cottage restaurant is right down the street as well. This was a great find! We also appreciated the maps and guides to the different local beaches. Just be sure to bring your own sheets, pillowcases, and towels- including a hand towel for the bathroom.

Super quaint cottage with amazing yard for bird lovers

Great little cottage, would be tight for four adults especially if you're going to cook a ton inside, the kitchen is small so grill as much as you can. Having said though, we had everything we needed to make great meals, Only thing I needed to buy was a couple small disposable aluminum oven sheets. Pack hand towels for the bathroom and a couple extra kitchen towels when you're packing your towels, I didn't end up using the two kitchen towels that were hanging. The queen bed is very comfortable, the kids felt the twin beds a little too firm. We Loved the backyard, it's beautiful and well maintained, we grilled, we had a campfire, we got two bundles of wood at Shaw's and everyone loved the outdoor shower especially at night! I spent most of the week just sitting outside under the covered gazebo/screen house with my Merlin Bird App just listening. Lots of outdoor lighting as well as some small floor motion nightlights, those were fantastic, a nice added extra waking up during the night in an unfamiliar house. I turned up the temp in the fridge a notch, as we had some freezing of our produce and literal ice cold milk. The multiple ac units were a blessing, thank you! Be sure to eat at Red Cottage down the street, cash only but worth it, they've been open 72 years, great place I never would have known about it if we didn't stay right near by! Overall a great stay, peaceful and quaint, Old Timey, I've been coming to the cape since the early 80's so I felt right at home!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful week on Bayberry Ln. The authentic charm of this cottage is something special and is more and more hard to find in vacation rentals. The cottage truly felt like a well-loved home by the sea. Super comfortable living room and all of the other spaces were perfect. The ACs in every room were lovely to have. The bathroom shower pressure is great and the perks of a beautiful soap bar, extra toothbrushes, mouthwash etc. shows how welcoming and hospitable our hosts were. The location was wonderful and we would rent this house again for sure. Thank you, Colleen!

Wonderful time!

This was a fantastic place to stay! We loved sitting outside every night by the fire pit and had all of our meals on the back deck. House included all of the amenities of home and everything we could’ve needed for a wonderful vacation away. Just a few steps away from Kelly’s Bay, perfect for paddle boarding and launching a kayak. Also a lovely sunset! We look forward to returning to this spot for many years to come, thank you for sharing your home with us!

Nice little place in South Dennis

This was a nice place that was as advertised. It was a bit dusty but besides that was nice and had all the amenities offered. Nice walk to the bay and our family had a really good time at the Cape. We had a few questions and the property owner got back to us quickly.

Good location but…

Chose this property for the location, close proximity to a pond for paddle boarding, easy run up to Sea Street Beach, shopping close by and also had features like a fire pit, outdoor shower, gas grill. I have vacationed 5+ summers at different rental properties. Property is in need of updates, website depicts well kept landscaping and notes bedding “left in good order”. There is no bedding included which had us running to Marshals, brown lawn and overgrown/dying plants, no basics like toilet paper, paper towels, dish towels, etc. made for a less than ideal experience compared to other properties. Had the website been more updated, I would have prepared better.

Great stay!

Our family of 4 had an awesome week at the house. The backyard, fire pit, outdoor shower, and AC in all the rooms were highlights. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the sunsets at the nearby Bay Area. Would definitely stay again!

Nice quaint property!

Stayed there in July, house was very clean and to expectation on the listing. This is great for a smaller family, with an excellent sizable backyard and on a quiet road that enables bike riding. Also being across from recreation is a plus for kids. Thank you for a great stay!

Cozy Cape Cottage

This is a cozy cottage; small inside, but a wonderful use of outdoor space makes this a good getaway, especially for just 2-4 adults. Well-supplied with beach chairs, tv, wi-fi, and kitchen basics.

Great Location

Property was great! Awesome location, short drive to all beaches. They have a great fire pit and a very nice screened in room outside. Ample board games were provided inside of the house for family fun.

Quaint Little Cape Cottage

We've been coming to the Cape for over 30 years and have rented many cottages along the way. From the hydrangeas to the outdoor shower it felt like a true Cape Cod cottage. It is small, but for the four of us it was perfect. The neighborhood was quiet, it was only a 10 minute drive to our favorite beach on the bayside and it is located near Route 6 and 134, so everything you need is close by.

Charming and inviting

What a lovely home! Even prettier than the photos. Gorgeous yard and great proximity to a little inlet beach, where kids can hunt for crabs and pick up shells. The fire pit, hammock, spacious deck (complete with outdoor fridge), roomy outdoor shower, and fenced-in grill area all make the yard inviting and comfortable for families traveling with little kids. The owner exceeded our expectations in terms of excellent communication and willingness to share their family's beach toys, board games, etc. We truly felt like their home became our home while we were there. We look forward to a return visit!

Vey cute cottage in quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable

We enjoyed our stay. All of the amenities and cookware were very sufficient. Only comment is that there was no drawer space. Easy to fix that.
